    Cities and Alternatives in the 19th Century

    Imagined Civities is an interdisciplinary conference examining the changes in the Victorian city. Stemming from The Guild, the 19th century seminar held at Cambridge University, the conference aims to explore any aspect of cultural and intellectual responses to urbanisation in the 19th century.     Call for papers - Representation

    Histoire du jazz en France

    Prévue le 15 avril 2009 à Tours, cette première journée d'étude est destinée à servir de base prévisionnelle à un ouvrage et à un futur colloque au cours duquel seront abordés différents aspects – musicologique, sociologique, culturel – d'une histoire du jazz en France. Ce projet s'inscrit dans le cadre d'une ANR, elle associe les universités de Bourgogne (Dijon), François-Rabelais (Tours) et Paris-Sorbonne Paris-IV. Il est coordonné par par Vincent Cotro (Tours), Laurent Cugny (Paris IV) et Philippe Gumplowicz (Université de Bourgogne).
