Dans une période de prolifération de contenus numériques et médiatiques portant sur la santé, le bien-être et le lifestyle, nous souhaitons explorer l’influence en ligne dans le cadre de la santé. Cette journée s’intéresse à l’influence exercée par les patient·es, les praticien·es ou les usager·es des politiques de santé, à travers l’animation d’un ou plusieurs comptes sur les réseaux sociaux. Ceux-ci offrent à ces internautes la possibilité de sensibiliser leur communauté d’abonnés, les espaces publics numériques constituant des nouvelles arènes de déploiement d’un type d’influence axé sur la construction dialogique de l’identité en ligne.

The Construction of the European Area of Higher Education, 20 years after the Launch of the Bologna Process

20 years after the signing of the Bologna Process, the time seems right to take stock of its implementation. The aim is to focus on its procedural dimension and on the organisational and/or strategic developments and responses to its implementation by the higher education institutions concerned. The focus on the Bologna Process cannot be exclusively managerial. The implementation of the Bologna Process, which is non-prescriptive, with national variations often induced by specific policies, has often encountered difficulties in terms of ownership and legitimization by actors in higher education systems, which ultimately raises the issue of the effectiveness of the Process. It is also interesting to study universities as actors and producers of discourse in relation to European integration.

The creativity of territories - issues in sustainable training?

Au-delà des compétences sectorielles nécessaires, dont l’enseignement supérieur est traditionnellement dépositaire, l’université a donc besoin de comprendre et d’enseigner les conditions d’émergence des nouveaux savoirs culturels et sociaux (dont internet et le réseaux sociaux font partie, dans des transdisciplinarité actives), y compris dans des disciplines connexes, telles les écritures créatives du présent, dans leurs multiples expressivités. (…) Cette coopération de l’enseignement et du terrain, peut permettre un développement autonome conjoint des acteurs économiques ou, dans sa partie impensée, conduire, au contraire, à leur dépendance sociétale. Comment s'exprime-t-elle au niveau d'un territoire donné ? Ces études de cas vont s’attacher particulièrement aux expériences méditerranéennes, mais doivent mettre en valeur des coopérations inventives, dans une relation culturelle de respect. Dans un même esprit d’ouverture au territoire, l’université doit s’attacher à valoriser des expériences interdisciplinaires et collaboratives entre les disciplines d’enseignement.

The media in the Tunisian democratic transition

Dans les contextes des transitions démocratiques, le domaine des médias constitue l’un des chantiers conditionnant en large partie le passage d’un système politique à un autre, au même titre que l’adoption d’une nouvelle Constitution, la mise en place d’une justice transitionnelle, la tenue d’élections, ou encore la recomposition des élites politiques. Bon nombre de travaux consacrés aux rôles des médias dans les processus transitionnels s’attachent à analyser leur contribution à la construction démocratique. Ces rôles sont évalués à partir des fonctions normatives qu’on leur prête, de fait ou en droit, en démocratie. Il est ainsi attendu des médias qu’ils instaurent de nouveaux dispositifs de surveillance et de contrôle du gouvernement, et qu’ils contribuent de la sorte à responsabiliser les élites. Ce colloque ambitionne d’interroger les conditions et les logiques de l’évolution des médias tunisiens en contexte transitionnel. Il s’agira, dans le cadre de ce colloque, de reprendre quatre dimensions essentielles des systèmes médiatiques contemporains, qui feront l’objet de panels spécifiques, et de questionner par leur moyen la transition médiatique tunisienne.

Journalist of the European Union: Which role in policy-making process?

IPA 2015 10th international conference in Interpretative Policy analysis – Panel n°32

This panel aims at studying the link between the EU policy making and the media sphere. Most of the academic works dealing with media issues focus on the European Union coverage and its effects on public attitude (and votes). For example, N. GAVIN studies the role played by economic information on TV in England. C. De Vreese describes the characteristics of news about European affairs in a comparative study of the editorial policies of news organizations in Britain, Denmark, and the Netherlands. He investigates the effects of television news on public opinion formation. He questions also whether the framing of EU news benefits more to the European institutions or the citizens . The journalists’ role in policy making is less studied.

Democracy and Technology. Europe in Tension from the 19th to the 21st century

Public debate, social media demonstrations, participative assessment, technocracy and transparency: these are just some of the issues on the growing list of multiple and evolving interactions between technology and democracy in Europe since the middle of the 19^th Century. The sixth Tensions of Europe conference aims historicizing and exploring these complicated links in long-term perspective. It will address key contemporary issues such as the democratization of technology and the vulnerabilities of technological democracies. The conference will close the ANR funded project « Large technical networks and democracy: innovations, practices and interested parties in long-term perspective, from 1880 to the present day ». The conference will also feature the official presentation of the Making Europe book series, more than 40 panels, and of course the traditional untraditional Tensions events – this time in Parisian style!

Sixth Plenary Conference of Tensions of Europe

This conference will be devoted to the complex relationship between democracy and technology from a European and transnational perspective. The core of this reflection will be the complementarities and cross-fertilization that arise in the interaction of technology and democracy, but also the frictions, tensions, and paradoxes that emerge in the discourses, representations and interplay of actors. This historical conference is open to a wide range of interdisciplinary inquiry. It invites proposals for papers addressing an issue that up to now has mainly been investigated on a national basis. Focusing on circulations and appropriations of technology in a European and transnational perspective, the conference should open new ways to think and talk about the history of Europe.
