  Intelligent Platform for Smart Port (IPaSPort)

  The development of ports and their environment (hinterland and logistic corridors) needs innovative technological solutions. These solutions concern the new technologies of highly communicating components (Captors, RFID, Internet of Things, etc.) as well as new information systems aimed to integrate the complexity of huge databases (Big Data intelligent management). The objective of this international conference is to join researchers and engineers interesting on the development of new spatial-temporal tools for port development, able to integrate the multiplicity of challenges for territorial development and efficiency, respecting environment and predictive impacts of climatic evolution.

  Journée nationale de l'internet des objets

  Cette journée consacrée aux nouveaux défis de l’internet des objets propose de porter un regard qui intègre d’une part les problématiques de facteurs humains et problématiques technologiques, et d’autre part la question du rôle que joue aujourd’hui les objets connectés dans la vie quotidienne comme la santé, l’habitat, l’automobile, l’assurance, qui sont en train d’être bouleversés par cette mutation du réseau.

  Digital Humanities in Portugal: building bridges and breaking barriers in the digital age

  Discussion about the role of the Humanities in academia and society has a long history. The confluence of this debate with the changes brought about by digital technology is not new either: one cannot speak of "new technologies" for the Humanities when many researchers turned to digital methods at least four decades ago, in disciplines as diverse as Linguistics, History or Literary Studies. The Conference “Digital Humanities in Portugal” aims precisely to stimulate these intersections, opening up a forum for discussion and sharing of research results or ongoing projects in this field of knowledge.
