Repetition/s: Performance and Philosophy in Ljubljana

Contemporary developments in the increasingly intertwined fields of philosophy and performance call for a renewed inquiry into the question of repetition. With its unique critique of ideology arising from a synthesis of German Idealism and Lacanian psychoanalysis, the Ljubljana School (Dolar, Zupančič, Žižek et al.) continues to furnish important theorisations of repetition and performance as they pertain to subjectivity and the political. One of the primary aims of “Repetition/s” will be to investigate and develop the usefulness of the Ljubljana School’s theorisations for the emerging field of Performance Philosophy.

Le développement des publics à distance est une chance pour les archives et bibliothèques patrimoniales, souvent fragilisées par la baisse de la fréquentation de leurs espaces physiques. Mais qui sont ces publics distants et comment peut-on aujourd'hui mieux les connaître, voire interagir avec eux ? Sont-ils des usagers d'un genre nouveau ? Sont-ils de simples consommateurs ou des acteurs du patrimoine ? Rassemblant des chercheurs et des professionnels du patrimoine, cette journée d'études vise à fournir des clés de lecture à celles et ceux qui s'intéressent aux mutations du patrimoine et de ses usages à l'heure de la numérisation.

Il 28 ottobre 2011 ricorre il decennale della scomparsa di Giuseppe Gigliozzi. La sua figura di studioso e di docente ha rappresentato un punto di riferimento fondamentale per lo sviluppo dell'Informatica Umanistica in Italia. Per ricordare la sua figura, DigLab (http://digilab.uniroma1.it/) Mediateca delle Scienze umanistiche dell’Università di Roma La Sapienza e la Facoltà di Lettere e Filosofia dell’Università Roma Tor Vergata, con il patrocinio dell'Associazione per l'Informatica Umanistica e la Cultura Digitale, organizzano un convegno di studi che si svolgerà nelle rispettive sedi nei giorni 27 e 28 ottobre. I lavori si articoleranno in tre sessioni tematiche.

International perspectives on network neutrality

L’idée de la « neutralité de réseau » est devenue une des préoccupations politiques dominantes pour les législateurs, les industries de télécommunication, les réformateurs de média et les chercheurs en communication. En bref, la neutralité est l’idée que les fournisseurs de service Internet doivent offrir une interconnexion égale parmi les fournisseurs de contenu et les utilisateurs du réseau, de sorte que ceux qui contrôlent l'accès au réseau ne censurent pas le contenu licite ou n’imposent pas un cheminement discriminatoire du contenu. Le résultat de ce débat a des répercussions importantes sur la nature démocratique participative d’Internet, sur la circulation libre de l’information et de la parole, sur les droits à la vie privée des utilisateurs, sur la gouvernance d’Internet, sur l’efficacité des médias indépendantes et la participation politique, ainsi que sur la vivacité continue des bibliothèques et des systèmes éducationnels. Ceci étant dit, la neutralité de réseau serait peut-être l’enjeu principal des politiques de télécommunication au XXIe siècle.
