  Organisées à Luxembourg tous les deux ans depuis 1980, les journées Lotharingiennes rassembent des chercheurs pourtraiter d'un aspect de l'histoire sociale, politique, culturelle médiévale dans le cadre de l'ancienne Lotharingie. La session de 2016 sera consacrée à l'étude de l'émergence du pouvoir princier entre X^e et XII^e siècles.

  The Allied Occupation of Germany Revisited

  New Research on the Western Zones of Occupation, 1945-1949

  The Allied occupation of Western Germany after the Second World War has long constituted a classic component in academic histories of post-war Germany. After having been the subject of sustained scholarly attention in the 1970s and 1980s, the subject has subsequently faced a decline in academic interest. This two-day conference is intended to showcase new research and provide a forum for the presentation of innovative approaches to the history of the three western zones of occupation. It also aims to stimulate dialogue between historians of the different zones of occupation and so bring together hitherto almost entirely segregated historiographies. We are inviting papers from both emerging scholars and established specialists.

  Le Saint-Empire à l’époque moderne : approches croisées

  Le séminaire se fonde sur un double constat. D’une part, le renouvellement des études sur les institutions impériales, initié en Allemagne depuis plus de trente ans, émerge actuellement d’un certain isolement disciplinaire (concentration sur l’histoire institutionnelle, en particulier) et croise les interrogations de l’histoire générale en remettant en cause les paradigmes de l’État et de la nation aux XVIe-XVIIIe siècle, mais également en épousant des orientations thématiques plus larges et novatrices (histoire de la communication, des rituels politiques, etc.). D’autre part, les historiens français ont joué un rôle limité mais actif dans ces évolutions, obtenant toutefois un écho encore trop restreint en Allemagne, et surtout, paradoxalement, en France.
