  First international seminar for post-graduate students in Sport History

  A first international seminar for PHD and post-graduate students in sport history (political and cultural perspectives) supervised by Prof. Dave Day (Manchester Metropolitan University) and Prof. J.-F. Loudcher (Bordeaux) is planned at Bordeaux between the 11^th September and the 13^th September 2017. It is the first of a series of seminars between the two universities (the next will be in Manchester) and will provides an opportunity to establish new relationsships and partnerships with students ands researchers from all over the world. In addition, this one will have a workshop on European project research funding on cultural and political sport coaching in a comparative way for an application in 2018. It is possible to just attend the seminar and the workshop.

  Comme chaque année, le CeTHiS propose une table ronde lors des rendez-vous de l'histoire de Blois. La XVI^e édition a pour thème « la guerre ». Les intervenants à la table-ronde, spécialistes de la guerre dans l’Antiquité et des usages modernes des références aux mondes classiques, proposent de décrypter les enjeux qui sont au cœur de l’écriture de l’histoire de la guerre antique. Ils souhaitent aussi offrir un regard critique d’historien sur l’usage des guerres de l’Antiquité dans les représentations collectives, l’action et le débat publics depuis le XIX^e siècle.
