  The drudges of the Axis : exploitable persecuted persons and ambivalent persecutors during WWII (Asia, Europe, Latin America)

  This meeting is a continuation of the UFA (French-German University) Montpellier-Weimar Colloquium "Construction of myths of war heroes (Germany, France, Japan) organized by Philippe Wellnitz and Gérard Siary in Berlin in 2014. After having there discussed the ambivalence in the construction of "war-heroe", this new conference is interested this time in two other ambivalences associated with the Second World War: those of the positioning of certain host states and "the ethics of survival" of persecuted persons who fled from Axis-occupied territories to other Axis-allied or to neutral States.

  La première journée d’études, consacrée à la période de l'après-seconde guerre mondiale ainsi qu’aux espaces ou territoires postcoloniaux, s'est déroulée le 14 novembre 2016. Cette seconde journée, « Les revues dans le monde : entre-deux-guerres », traite de l'avènement au sein des territoires non-occidentaux d'une internationale critique, caractérisée par une mise en tension entre désir d'émancipation, lutte contre l'impérialisme et spécificité culturelle.

  Volet 1. Postwar and Postcolonial Spaces

  « Global Art & Cultural Periodicals » est un projet consacré au recensement et à l’étude des pé- riodiques des empires coloniaux à nos jours. Il traite des dynamiques historiques et critiques qui, par l’exercice de la revue, sont développées et se développent à l’échelle mondiale. Envisageant le rôle matriciel du périodique à la fois comme laboratoire d’expérimentation et lieu d’archivage d’une pensée en gestation, il donnera lieu à un colloque international en novembre 2017, lui-même précédé de quatre temps forts sous la forme de journées d’études.

  Le séminaire « Environnement, maladie, thérapie » réunit des historiens et des philosophes des sciences qui étudient, de manière transversale et diachronique, les manières dont les hommes se sont représenté la nature, les paysages, et plus généralement, l’environnement. Ils étudient également comment ces représentations ont joué dans la conception des maladies, dans l’histoire des traitements et de la prévention, ainsi que dans la restructuration de leur environnement.
