  Tourism and outdoor sport territories in transition

  Using geographical approaches, the aim of this thematic issue of Géocarrefour is to analyse how different types of tourist destinations react faced with the changes outlined above and how new sustainable and hybrid models of development are set in motion and how they function. These models represent the culmination of the process of tourism transition as identified here. They are characterised by their mix of activities, by new interactions between social groups, (resident or tourist populations) and by new territorial forms. The impacts of these adaptations will also be discussed and analysed.

  Trade and consumption of Atlantic commodities in the southern Alps

  Four-year PhD position in History (University of Berne)

  The Historical Institute of the University of Bern invites applications for a four-year PhD position in History. The position is scheduled to start on November 1, 2018. The PhD student will be a member of the Project "Atlantic Italies: Economic and Cultural Entanglements (15^th-19^th Centuries)”, funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (2018-2022) and directed by Dr. Roberto Zaugg. The prospective PhD student is expected to have good knowledge of Italian, Latin and English and at least basic knowledge of German, as well as practical experience in working with early modern manuscript sources.

  Les médailles de Louis XIV et leur livre

  En préalable à l’exposition Louis XIV sur le site Tolbiac de la BnF à l’automne 2015, ce colloque international se tiendra sur le site Richelieu de la même institution. Il réunira historiens, historiens de la littérature, historiens des médailles, historiens du livre. De 1694 à 1702, la Petite Académie, Racine et Boileau en tête, s’est entièrement consacrée aux médailles royales. Ses travaux ont abouti au somptueux in-folio des Médailles sur les principaux événements du règne de Louis le Grand, publié par l’Imprimerie royale (1702, 2^e édition augmentée en 1723). Outre son intérêt numismatique, ce volume fait date dans la tradition des grands albums de l’histoire monarchique. Le colloque, consacré aux médailles comme au livre, s’articulera en trois journées : principes de composition, influences exercées, thématiques. Il s’accompagnera d’une présentation des médailles de Louis XIV conservées au Cabinet des médailles et des épreuves du livre conservées au Cabinet des estampes.

  Thirty years of the first general statutes for public workers: what next?

  Au cours des dix dernières années, la fonction publique française a vu son statut général subir d’importantes réformes, et parallèlement son format se réduire, tandis que la contractualisation individuelle a progressé en son sein notamment sous l’effet de la « révision générale des politiques publiques » et du droit de l’Union européenne. Cette évolution, dont les origines sont en réalité plus lointaines et les racines plus profondes, appelle à l’occasion des trente ans du titre premier du statut général des fonctionnaires, celui qui lui sert de socle commun, un approfondissement de la réflexion sur les mutations qui affectent les droits et obligations des fonctionnaires, ainsi que leur relation au service public.
