  Not Just Holidays in the Sun

  Keep It Simple, Make It Fast! (KISMIF) Summer School 2020

  The Keep It Simple, Make It Fast! (KISMIF) Conference 2020 will be preceded by a Summer School entitled ‘Not Just Holidays in the Sun’ on 7 July 2020 in Rivoli Municipal Theatre of Porto. The Summer School will offer an opportunity for all interested persons, including those participating in the Conference, to attend workshops directed by specialists in their fields. Our KISMIF Summer School program invites students who are interested in, or currently using, DIY cultures in their research to join us for an exciting and innovative one-day summer school program. The goal of the one-day program will be to encourage discussion and experimentation in the documentation of DIY cultures as much as it will be to encourage a new generation of DIY academics (Punk Ethnographers!) to experiment with digital cinema and performance in their research practices.

  L'analyse des processus de création est un objet de recherche en pleine diffusion dans le champ des sciences sociales aujourd'hui. Les réflexions issues d'horizons variés se multiplient, mais mobilisent concepts à la définition et à l'opérativité encore floues. Ce colloque propose de faire l'état de la recherche sur sujet et d'explorer les pistes méthodologiques et épistémologiques possibles pour l'anthropologie en particulier.

  Cette journée d’étude poursuit une réflexion autour de l’usage transdisciplinaire des outils audio-visuels en sciences sociales. Les méthodes participatives de l’image, ensemble hétérogène tant du point de vue théorique que technique, ont pour similarité l’implication active des enquêteurs et des enquêté-e-s dans le processus d’exploration, immersion et construction du savoir ethnographique.

  Migration through the mirror of the arts and questions of ethics

  3rd annual seminar of the Migrations network

  Le séminaire annuel abordera la double thématique : « La migration, au miroir des arts, et des questions d’éthique ».  Cette journée sera en partie dédiée à la vie du réseau et à la création d’un espace informel de discussion pour les chercheurs dans les études migratoires, dans la continuité des premiers événements scientifiques organisés par le réseau depuis juin 2014. L'idée est de créer un cadre informel d'échanges et de discussions où tous les participants pourront évoquer leurs travaux et leurs réflexions, parallèlement et au-delà de la thématique fixée pour l’événement.

  Association de recherche sur l'image photographique workshop (ARIP)

  L'ARIP reconduit un cycle de rendez-vous pour l’année 2015-2016. Elles prendront la forme d’ateliers mensuels avec un objectif double : ils seront d’une part l’occasion de découvrir des sujets de recherche inédits sur la photographie et d’autre part, ils permettront d’aborder et d’explorer des questionnements méthodologiques soulevés par un travail de recherche en photographie, et auxquels se trouvent souvent confronté·e·s nombre de (jeunes) chercheur·e·s. dans ce domaine. Plus encore que l’année passée, ces ateliers veulent constituer un lieu participatif et bienveillant d’échanges horizontaux, avec comme enjeu essentiel de partager, voire de construire ensemble, des savoirs méthodologiques. Il ne s’agira en aucun cas de présentations académiques, du type conférence.

  The Geographical Information of Art History: How and Why to Retrace the Circulation of Knowledge and Facts

  Artl@s Bulletin 4, 2 (Fall 2015)

  The spatial turn in humanities has enticed various disciplines to deconstruct the making of artistic facts: studying the circulation of artworks and artists now appears to be a fertile way to uncover the rationales, the constraints and the transgressions that shape the historical geography of art. This ‘return to facts’ calls for a closer examination of the methods used to identify, collect, re-assemble and interpret the geographical information produced by artistic activity. To examine the traceability of artistic knowledge and facts is the primary aim of this issue of the Artl@s Bulletin.
