  Care and children's health in the rural environment

  Les soins et la santé des enfants ont été étudiés de multiples façons tant par la sociologie de la médecine (des médecines), l’anthropologie du corps, de la santé et de la maladie, la psychologie clinique, l’épidémiologie, la santé publique... Cette journée d’étude interdisciplinaire, interuniversitaire et interinstitutionnelle privilégie une approche territorialisée qui oriente la focale sur les campagnes. Elle a pour ambition de préciser la nature, l’étendue et la variété des soins dont bénéficient des enfants d’ici et d’ailleurs, en milieu rural. Cette manifestation scientifique a pour objectif de faire se rencontrer des jeunes chercheurs nationaux et internationaux de diverses disciplines autour de la thématique des soins et de la santé des enfants vivant en milieu rural, sans exclusivité géographique.

  Médecine et santé dans les campagnes du Moyen Âge à nos jours

  The goal of this conference is to understand better the health and medical situation in rural areas in France, as well as across Europe and its colonies, all the while challenging the processes of medicalization at work and the very concept of medicalization.  It seeks especially to analyze medical practices as well as knowledge, their flows and networks as well as institutions, in a dynamic perspective from the medieval period to the present. Special attention will be paid not only to the legacy of the past but also to paradigm changes in order to bring to light the ways in which the contemporary organization of rural medicine has been constructed and what we may learn from the choices made in different historical periods.
