The Allied Occupation of Germany Revisited
New Research on the Western Zones of Occupation, 1945-1949
The Allied occupation of Western Germany after the Second World War has long constituted a classic component in academic histories of post-war Germany. After having been the subject of sustained scholarly attention in the 1970s and 1980s, the subject has subsequently faced a decline in academic interest. This two-day conference is intended to showcase new research and provide a forum for the presentation of innovative approaches to the history of the three western zones of occupation. It also aims to stimulate dialogue between historians of the different zones of occupation and so bring together hitherto almost entirely segregated historiographies. We are inviting papers from both emerging scholars and established specialists.

L'année 1945 est souvent perçue comme une césure profonde. Or, cette vision occulte les continuités, les traumatismes et les règlements de compte de l’après-guerre qui ne peuvent se comprendre que lorsqu’on appréhende la décennie comme un ensemble. Cette approche sera au centre du colloque international organisé par l'université du Luxembourg, les 23 et 24 octobre 2015. Ce colloque a pour objectif d'éclairer les mutations profondes (politiques, idéologiques, culturelles, économiques) que connurent la société luxembourgeoise et les autres sociétés européennes, entre le déclenchement de la seconde guerre mondiale et le début de la Guerre froide.

Confrontée dès les années 1950 à un véritable malaise économique et social, la région stéphanoise a été le centre d'une forte mobilisation sociale en même temps que le lieu d'une réflexion sur les causes des problèmes et les solutions qui pouvaient y remédier. S'ouvre alors un débat qui a mis aux prises de multiples acteurs, élus, syndicalistes, fonctionnaires, chercheurs. Cette journée doit être l'occasion d'en explorer quelques aspects en croisant les approches d'historiens, de sociologues et de géographes ainsi que des témoignages d'acteurs et témoins.

The objective of this colloquium will be to debate and analyze politics and the political by means of the different forms of language, discourse and practices that intervene in the construction of the social world. There are myriad examples of this in Chilean history. Taking history, political philosophy and political economy as the starting points, we invite doctoral candidates, researchers and academics to participate in this truly trans disciplinary space of debate, reflection and feedback whose goal is not only to unite a community of researchers into “the political” in the republican period but also to select the best works presented for a future publication in the format of a collective work or a special dossier of a scientific publication.

The invention of the Champagne wine region, 1811-1911-2011
La constitution de la Champagne viticole contemporaine est, pour une large part, une construction historique effectuée il y a maintenant près de deux siècles. Ce colloque international propose ainsi de revenir sur les différents moments de genèse, de mutations et de construction des territoires vitivinicoles de la Champagne, du XIXe siècle à nos jours, en passant par les phases techniques, économiques et culturelles d’invention du Champagne. Il s’agira également de revenir, pendant ces journées, sur une construction historique jalonnée par la conflictualité politique et sociale et par l’élaboration de normes de production et de commercialisation du vin. -

Le programme de recherche CRESC Paris 13 / IDHE / LARHRA sur les organisations patronales européennes, acteurs essentiels de la constitution et de la transformation du modèle social contemporain, a organisé une première journée d’études le 11 juin 2010 consacrée à une série de bilans sémantique, historiographique et archivistique. Le second temps du programme de recherche se déroulera à l’occasion d’un colloque qui se tiendra les 9 et 10 juin 2011 aux universités de Paris 13 et Paris I. Il sera consacré à la genèse et aux morphologies originelles des organisations patronales en Europe. -
