  The Legacies of Ursula K. Le Guin: Science, Fiction and Ethics for the Anthropocene

  Planetary ethics and aesthetics, interspecies communities, post-gender and anarchist societies, indigenous knowledge, vegetal sentience... The paths Ursula K. Le Guin has opened for our imagination to travel are numerous, subtle itineraries through which we might find ways to better inhabit the XXI^st century. The international bilingual conference "Le Guin's Legacies" will engage with her work from a multiplicity of perspectives, tracing its literary, ecological, philosophical, socio-economical and anthropological ramifications: its potential for re-engineering the world we live in.

  New dynamics for cultural research - the Culture-CNRS agreement 2016-2020

  L'accord-cadre Culture-CNRS 2016-2020

  Le ministère de la Culture et de la Communication (MCC) et le Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS) développent une politique scientifique partagée sur des thématiques communes faisant appel à de multiples domaines de la science, avec une forte prise en compte de l’interdisciplinarité. Ainsi, sciences humaines et sociales, chimie, physique, mathématiques, écologie, géologie ou sciences du numérique contribuent au dynamisme de la recherche dans les domaines du patrimoine, de la création, des médias et des industries culturelles. Cette politique est formalisée depuis 1992 par un accord-cadre, régulièrement renouvelé.

  Alexander von Humboldt: ecological intuition

  Il s'agit d'un appel à contributions pour trois demi-journées d'études interdisciplinaires sur Alexander von Humboldt et sa pensée de l'environnement et de l'écologie. Les communications attendues peuvent aussi bien aborder la question d'un point de vue épistémologique, sous l'angle de l'histoire des sciences de la nature et de la géographie, que d'un point de vue littéraire, en traitant du type d'écriture qui permet à Humboldt de construire son exposé du « Cosmos ». Des mises en relation avec d'autres géographes et penseurs du XIX^e siècle sont les bienvenues, de même que les ouvertures sur l'écriture du paysage dans les sciences humaines et la littérature du XIX^e siècle.
