  Four Visiting Fellowships for Postgraduates "Cultures of Decision-Making"

  The Integrated Graduate School of the Collaborative Research Centre/SFB 1150 “Cultures of Decision-making”, funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) at the University of Muenster since July 1^st 2015, is offering  four visiting fellowships for postgraduates/doctoral candidates  in 2016 for a period of up to six months, starting in April 2016. The closing date for applications is March 20^th 2016.

  Law and Boundaries Conference

  Annual International Conference / Sciences Po Paris / May 19th and 20th 2014

  The conference seeks to create a cross-disciplinary and cross-cultural dialogue between students coming from European and foreign universities. The project was initially driven by the feeling that legal scholarship has remained largely silent in the aftermath of the economic crisis, especially concerning the role of lawyers and legal templates. Another underlying impetus is the concern over the relative absence of European legal scholarship in debates concerning cutting-edge global governance issues. The challenge is to explore how European legal thought can help to understand problems brought about by globalization.This year the conference will be held in Sciences Po Paris on May 19th and 20th 2014.

Nous tenterons par une approche interdisciplinaire (juridique, économique, historique, littéraire et cinématographique) d'analyser la censure dans ses multiples formes.

  Women criminals and inevitable guilt, Antiquity to the present day

  Lors de cette rencontre interdisciplinaire et transchronologique, des chercheurs des universités bordelaises (Bordeaux 2, Bordeaux 3 et Bordeaux 4) mais aussi de Tours et de Paris I-Sorbonne, spécialistes de différentes disciplines (histoire, science de l'information et de la communication, droit, anthropologie, littérature...) seront réunis pour tenter de comprendre comment la criminalité féminine a été culturellement forgée depuis l’Antiquité jusqu’à nos jours. Le but sera de répondre à cette interrogation paradoxale : alors que la part des femmes dans la criminalité est restée moindre que celle des hommes et que le droit traite en principe les deux sexes à égalité, pourquoi le récit de leurs crimes les transforme-t-il si facilement en monstres ? Cette rencontre s'organisera parallèlement à une exposition sur le même thème qui sera accueillie à la Maison des Sciences de l'Homme d'Aquitaine du 21 janvier au 15 février.
