Eco-feminisms: narratives, militant practices and knowledge in situ
Itinéraires. Littérature, textes, cultures journal, number 2021-3
L'objectif de ce numéro est d'étudier l'écoféminisme à la fois comme pratique militante, production de récits, de performances et comme savoir situé. Le projet est pluridisciplinaire et les contributions peuvent concerner la littérature générale et comparée, les arts du spectacle, l'analyse du discours, les sciences de l'information et de la communication, la géographie ou encore les études de genre, l'histoire et la science politique. Quatre axes sont proposés : poétiques de la terre et approches environnementales, diversité des mouvements et des pratiques militantes, les rapports entre spiritualité, savoirs situés et savoirs académiques, enfin les pratiques artistiques, fictions et performance.

Conference at Hadrian's Villa
To mark the five hundredth anniversary of Leonardo da Vinci’s death, the “Istituto Autonomo Villa Adriana e Villa d’Este - Villae” (Tivoli, Rome) is organizing a conference with the theme of: “Leonardo and Antiquity”, at Hadrian’s Villa. At the dawn of the 16th century, Leonardo da Vinci visited Villa Adriana, then known as “old Tivoli”. The conference in preparation intends to explore ways in which this journey influenced Leonardo's genius, also in the context of the time period and work of Leonardo's contemporaries and/or disciples. In the company of internationally recognized keynote speakers, the conference welcomes the participation of both Italian and foreign researchers and scholars who answer this call for papers, as a major focus of the conference will be to place Leonardo's trip to Tivoli within a broader cultural context. The deadline for the paper proposals is fixed at January 25th, 2019.

Planetary ethics and aesthetics, interspecies communities, post-gender and anarchist societies, indigenous knowledge, vegetal sentience... The paths Ursula K. Le Guin has opened for our imagination to travel are numerous, subtle itineraries through which we might find ways to better inhabit the XXIst century. The international bilingual conference "Le Guin's Legacies" will engage with her work from a multiplicity of perspectives, tracing its literary, ecological, philosophical, socio-economical and anthropological ramifications: its potential for re-engineering the world we live in.

The circulation and renewal of knowledge about nature and the environment in France and Germany
Ce colloque propose une réflexion comparée sur la construction et la diffusion des savoirs sur la nature et l’environnement, en France et en Allemagne, afin d’interroger l’émergence et le succès du champ d’études des humanités environnementales. À travers une mise en regard épistémologique et pluridisciplinaire – associant les lettres et les sciences sociales –, il s’agit de se demander pourquoi l’on vient à parler d’humanités environnementales, dans quels contextes, à propos de quels objets et quels modes d’analyse, et ce alors même que l’énoncé n’est pas complètement stabilisé. Questionner la construction de ce champ dans les contextes nationaux français et allemand est riche de sens, d’autant que l’on sait les deux « traditions nationales » des rapports à la nature souvent présentées comme clivées (schématiquement, la filiation des Lumières en France, celle du romantisme en Allemagne), alors que les processus historiques ont été plus complexes.

Inhabiting immersive territories in the Anthropocene
Habiter les territoires immersifs : perspectives écologiques, neuroscientifiques et esthétiques sur la littérature, les arts et le jeu vidéo à l’ère de l’Anthropocène. Alors que les habitats naturels se dégradent, les arts nous proposent des expériences immersives, qui ouvrent vers des modes nouveaux de l’habiter. Le jeu vidéo, la littérature, le cinéma, le théâtre, l’art contemporain créent des territoires qui nous invitent à l’exploration et au vagabondage, à la flânerie et à la contemplation. Que peuvent nous apprendre écologie, neuroscience et esthétique sur ces activités dont les enjeux éthiques et esthétiques – agencés au sein d’œuvres spécifiques – s’étendent à la manière dont habitons notre environnement planétaire ?

The publication will take the form of a special issue of the electronic journal Cultural History of Europe, scheduled for autumn 2018.

En réunissant les doctorants et jeunes docteurs – rattachés, ou ayant été rattachés, à une institution française – dont les travaux portent sur l’Italie préromaine (la péninsule et ses îles), entre l’âge du Bronze récent et le début de la romanisation, l’objectif principal des rencontres est de dresser un état des lieux de la jeune recherche en France, tout en favorisant la création de liens et en stimulant les échanges avec les chercheurs plus confirmés invités à modérer ces deux journées. Afin de mettre en évidence les passerelles transdisciplinaires qui caractérisent les travaux sur l’Italie préromaine, les présentations pourront relever des différents champs disciplinaires qui contribuent à enrichir ce domaine des études : archéologie, histoire, géosciences, épigraphie, philologie, numismatique ou encore histoire des collections.

Alexander von Humboldt: ecological intuition
Il s'agit d'un appel à contributions pour trois demi-journées d'études interdisciplinaires sur Alexander von Humboldt et sa pensée de l'environnement et de l'écologie. Les communications attendues peuvent aussi bien aborder la question d'un point de vue épistémologique, sous l'angle de l'histoire des sciences de la nature et de la géographie, que d'un point de vue littéraire, en traitant du type d'écriture qui permet à Humboldt de construire son exposé du « Cosmos ». Des mises en relation avec d'autres géographes et penseurs du XIXe siècle sont les bienvenues, de même que les ouvertures sur l'écriture du paysage dans les sciences humaines et la littérature du XIXe siècle.

Defining European Eco-criticism
The aim of this international conference is to make visible the variegated sprouting of European Eco-criticism —a name that is given as a working hypothesis for the time being. American-born Eco-criticism seems to be gradually filtering into Old World languages and cultural contexts ; but it has different meanings in different places. Hence, an assessment of this major theoretical transduction appears to be highly opportune. The goal is to give a geographical dimension to this framework, and contributors are invited to investigate national, regional, and local particularities of eco-literature, be it in the guise of fiction, non-fiction, or criticism, bearing in mind that literatures outside the English-speaking world will be given priority.

Numéro 10 des Cahiers J.-M. G. Le Clézio
Si la nature et les éléments naturels dans l’œuvre de J.-M. G. Le Clézio ont déjà fait l’objet de nombreuses études, justifiées par la richesse de ces thématiques dans l’œuvre de l’auteur, en revanche celle de l’environnement, et des responsabilités de l’homme vis-à-vis de lui, a fait pour l’heure l’objet de moins d’attention. Pourtant, J.-M. G. Le Clézio a éprouvé très tôt l’importance d’une conscience environnementale et a laissé entendre dans ses livres l’écho de questionnements liés à cet intérêt, faisant de lui dans la littérature française du XXe siècle l’un des premiers auteurs particulièrement concernés par la réflexion écologique. Ce numéro 10 de Les Cahiers J.-M. G. Le Clézio vise à susciter différentes réflexions sur la manière d'habiter la Terre en fonction de trois axes principaux.
