L’APEF (association portugaise d’études françaises) lance un appel à présentation, divulgation et exposé de toutes recherches en études françaises et francophones (langue, linguistique, littérature, culture, (inter-)arts, traduction, didactique) menées au sein de l’université portugaise – en projet, en cours, ou récemment soutenues - et qui s’inscrivent dans le cadre d’un master, d’un doctorat ou d’un post-doctorat.

"The grass is always greener" - gardens and politics
Franco-German histories, experiences and perspectives
Le CEREG (EA 4223) de l’Université de Nanterre, l’équipe de recherche « Mondes allemands » (EA 1577) de l’Université Paris VIII Vincennes Saint-Denis, l’Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Versailles et la fondation Fürst-Pückler-Park Bad Muskau organisent, du 14 au 16 mai 2020 un colloque franco-allemand sur le thème « “Sortir de l’enclos” : jardins et politique(s). Histoires, expériences et perspectives franco-allemandes ». Il s'agira de s’interroger sur les liens qu’ont entretenus, depuis le XVIIe siècle, les jardins avec la politique en France et en Allemagne, mais aussi d’examiner de récentes initiatives où le jardin, compris comme processus vivant, se transforme en lieu d’expression de la démocratie et de la citoyenneté. L’histoire des deux pays, parfois adverse et souvent intimement mêlée, incite en effet à tendre des miroirs pour révéler des mouvements et aspirations profondes des deux sociétés, étudier les contrastes et transferts mutuels, et croiser les études de terrain dans ce domaine encore peu exploré qu’est l'art comparé des jardins.

Body, culture and identity in Lavapies, Madrid
From the individual to the collective
The objective of this Seminar is to stress the importance of a collaborative and participative way to understand through our senses. We want to explore connections between thinking and action in everyday city experiences, developing “in situ” actions. We consider that the knowledge of the space need space experiences. We aim to develop a collective, community exploration of the vital flow of the Lavapiés area in Madrid altering the classical relationship between artist, landscape and inhabitants. This exploration will allow the construction of an intangible map of audiovisual fragments, photo, phonographs, video art, performative actions. The direct experimentation of space helps us understand it, as well as "to perform it"; it helps us understand the aesthetic and emotional relationships we have with it. In order to get our objectives, urban artists, soundscape experts, theater groups, architects, philosopher, civil and social associations, citizens…will be invited.

Éliane Beaufils, du département d’études théâtrales organise le vendredi 14 décembre 2018 de 9h-18h un colloque intitulé « Le théâtre face à l’avenir climatique ». Ce colloque étudie des formes théâtrales et performantielles qui traitent de la catastrophe climatique. Il cherchera à analyser comment les scènes confrontent les spectateurs à de nouvelles relations interhumaines et interspécifiques, et comment elles les appellent à l’action et/ou à l’imagination du futur. Les voies d’une scène politique écologique, une scène climapolitique, se dessinent-elles ?

Art and research relating to the visible and invisible traces of conflicts - interdisciplinary and inter-artistic approaches to war heritag
This symposium is part of the research project “landscape(s) of the strange. On visible and invisible traces of a regional heritage in transformation. Artistic and theoretical (re)-constructions of a cross-border history marked by major conflicts” started in 2016. To begin with, the project approached the notion of “trace” or “mark” in its material (heritage, architecture, vegetation) and immaterial (memory, culture) dimensions, especially those related to the concrete landscape of Lorraine which bears the mark of a conflictual history opposing Frenchmen and Germans, especially during the two World Wars.

Given the rich significance of the question of heritage, the main issues are how to keep alive and even continue to shape and transmit this legacy with its roots in the past and the present. Heritage requires continuous regeneration so that future generations can built on it and adapt it to the present without losing its identity

From the recent Bronze Age to Romanisation
En réunissant les doctorants et jeunes docteurs – rattachés, ou ayant été rattachés, à une institution française – dont les travaux portent sur l’Italie préromaine (la péninsule et ses îles), entre l’âge du Bronze récent et le début de la romanisation, l’objectif principal des rencontres est de dresser un état des lieux de la jeune recherche en France, tout en favorisant la création de liens et en stimulant les échanges avec les chercheurs plus confirmés invités à modérer ces deux journées. Afin de mettre en évidence les passerelles transdisciplinaires qui caractérisent les travaux sur l’Italie préromaine, les présentations pourront relever des différents champs disciplinaires qui contribuent à enrichir ce domaine des études : archéologie, histoire, géosciences, épigraphie, philologie, numismatique ou encore histoire des collections.

Le design est une manière d’aborder les problématiques de société afin de soulever des questionnements liés au contexte et d’y apporter des solutions concrètes. Accolé au préfixe « éco », le design et plus précisément ses processus de conception et ses enjeux, semblent déterminés par une volonté, parfois paradoxale, d’amplifier le rapport de l’homme à la nature. Si nous revenons à l’étymologie du préfixe « éco », nous pouvons comprendre davantage ce lien. « Éco » vient du Grec « oïkos » signifiant « habitat ». Le premier à l’utiliser est le philosophe et biologiste Ernst Haeckel pour définir le terme « écologie » dès 1866. Aujourd’hui, employé fréquemment dans la langue française, « éco » peut relever du politique, de l’économique, du technique, du scientifique, de l’industriel ou encore du design ; dans tous les cas, il semble renvoyer au rapport de l’individu à son environnement. Cette journée d’études sera ainsi l’occasion d’échanger et de débattre de l’ ÉCO(design) et de son caractère prospectif dans les relations qu’il instaure avec les questions environnementales.

Comparative approaches to the environment, cities and mountains
Depuis quelques années l’histoire des territoires proprement dits s’est considérablement développée, des travaux sur la frontière de Daniel Nordman à ceux de François Walter sur les identités paysagères, dessinant les contours d’un nouvel objet scientifique, aux multiples ramifications, qui appelle un perpétuel questionnement. Espace approprié, espace organisé et pensé, sinon rêvé, le territoire est également un espace à contrôler, à normer et, dans nos sociétés contemporaines, un espace désormais perçu comme fragile, sensible, à protéger, voire à sanctuariser. Il croise aussi bien la ville que la campagne, le plat pays que la montagne, ainsi que les notions de paysages et d’environnement. Ce colloque international prend le parti de mêler les entrées, conjuguées et questionnées à partir du prisme commun du territoire.

Le colloque, organisé par le Laboratoire Collectivités Territoriales se tiendra à l'Université d'Orléans les 7 et 8 décembre 2011. Il traitera, à l’heure de la rédaction du plan de gestion pour le Val de Loire, d'un sujet au cœur de l'actualité : « Val de Loire, patrimoine mondial 2000-2010 : identité, protection, valorisation ». Les transports : un facteur de modernité dans les Amériques (1800-1914) ?
Au XIXe siècle, les moyens de transport de la révolution industrielle (chemin de fer et navigation à vapeur) entrent en concurrence dans les Amériques comme dans le reste du monde avec les modes traditionnels (navigation à voile, cabotage, traction animale, portage, marche). L’exploration ou l’intégration de nouveaux espaces (Ouest nord-américain, Amazonie, Panama…) ont lieu grâce aux performances technologiques tandis que d’anciennes routes sont délaissées et les populations réagissent en accueillant ou en refusant ces changements. De nouveaux métiers apparaissent liés à la logistique des transports, remplaçant d’autres activités professionnelles (rouliers, porteurs, guides, piroguiers, colporteurs…). Les paysages sont modifiés par la construction des infrastructures. Les étapes et relais changent en même temps que les distances parcourues.
