  Rural transformation under the process of urbanization

  Mixing methodological approaches in the field of urban studies

  Created in 2008 to open up new venues for a dialogue between France and China on planning issues, the Sino-French Centre for Urban, Regional and Planning Studies has been actively involved in organizing exchange seminars in France and China. The Centre is supported by University Paris East-Créteil and Nanjing University. This year seminar will raise two issues: "rural transformation under the process of urbanization" and "mixing methodological approaches in the field of urban studies".

  Agrarian areas: landscape dynamics, ground laws, parties involved and planning

  La revue de géographie Méditerranée organise un appel à contribution pour son numéro 120, dont le titre est : espaces agraires : dynamiques paysagères, structures foncières, acteurs et planification. Les textes s'appuieront sur des recherches finalisées qui privilégient les échelles fines d'analyse. Les territoires concernés relèveront prioritairement du bassin méditerranéen. Les contributions doivent être soumises avant le 30 juin 2012 et ne pas excéder 38 000 signes. Pour plus de détails, il faut se reporter aux recommandations aux auteurs sur le site en ligne de la revue.

  Dislivelli Association is pleased to announce the second edition of the Interdisciplinary Forum of Young Researchers about the issue the Alps of tomorrow. The Forum is organized by Dislivelli Association in collaboration with Interateneo Territorio Department of Polythecnic of Turin and Philosophy and Education Department of University of Turin, with the support of the Permanent Secretariat of Alpine Convention and the Province of Turin. This biennial Forum aims at giving to the new generation of researchers the chance to meet up, to divulge their researches on the alpine territory and to discuss the emerging issues of contemporary Alps.

  Territoire des garrigues : perception et implication de la population

  L’association des Ecologistes de l’Euzière travaille depuis plus de 30 ans sur les territoires des garrigues languedociennes dans les départements du Gard et de l’Hérault tant au niveau de l’expertise de milieux naturels, de l’interprétation du patrimoine que de l’animation nature et l’éducation à l’environnement. Le territoire des garrigues situé entre les plaines littorales et les contreforts des Cévennes est constitué de plateaux et collines calcaires avec une végétation typiquement méditerranéenne adaptée à la sécheresse. Ces vastes espaces possèdent un patrimoine naturel et humain d’une très grande richesse. Les paysages de garrigue ont été modelés par plusieurs millénaires d’activités humaines. Offre de stage pour le printemps 2008.
