Le prochain colloque de l’ISIAT-IUT Montaigne se donne pour objectif de réfléchir, d’échanger et d’ouvrir le débat sur le rapport entre animation et transition écologique. Dans le contexte d’une crise multidimensionnelle tant écologique, sociale que politique, l’animation socioculturelle peut être considérée comme un acteur tiers dans la réflexion collective et la transition vers un nouveau modèle sociétal. Sa contribution au changement sera interrogée à partir des méthodes et des espaces au moyen desquels le secteur pense et déploie ses modes d’action.

Garden cities for the 21st century
Valorization, preservation and challenges in France, Europe and the world
The aim of this symposium is to put into perspective the different dimensions of a common heritage stemming from the garden city concept developed by Ebenezer Howard in 1898. An overview of the situation, a comparative approach and postulations on possible futures are expected. Four lines of thought and questioning are envisaged. The themes will transversally address the dimension of the built environment and the outdoor space, at different scales encompassing collective spaces of sociability, materiality of places, representations, practices, and so forth.

Geoarchaeology and archaeology of the city of Cádiz, Spain
This workshop-seminar organised in Strasbourg will be focusing on the archaeology and geoarchaeology of Cádiz. New sedimentary cores drilled in a marine palaeochannel crossing the city in Antiquity will be discussed. Researchers from the University of Cádiz, the CNRS, the ENGEES, and the University of Strasbourg will be present.

Body, culture and identity in Lavapies, Madrid
From the individual to the collective
The objective of this Seminar is to stress the importance of a collaborative and participative way to understand through our senses. We want to explore connections between thinking and action in everyday city experiences, developing “in situ” actions. We consider that the knowledge of the space need space experiences. We aim to develop a collective, community exploration of the vital flow of the Lavapiés area in Madrid altering the classical relationship between artist, landscape and inhabitants. This exploration will allow the construction of an intangible map of audiovisual fragments, photo, phonographs, video art, performative actions. The direct experimentation of space helps us understand it, as well as "to perform it"; it helps us understand the aesthetic and emotional relationships we have with it. In order to get our objectives, urban artists, soundscape experts, theater groups, architects, philosopher, civil and social associations, citizens…will be invited.

Landscapes in action under the tropics - past, present and future
Projets de paysage journal issue 21
Ce numéro se propose de publier un dossier thématique qui vise à interroger les formes d’action à l’œuvre dans les territoires tropicaux et la façon dont la notion de paysage y est mobilisée ou pourrait l’être si elle ne l’est pas. L'objectif est double. Il s'agit, d'une part, d'explorer les réalités tropicales à partir de l'entrée paysage en mettant à l’épreuve une notion située entre matérialités spatialisées et représentations culturelles et considérée comme l’expression visible de processus biophysiques et de pratiques sociales entremêlés qui affectent, selon différents paliers de temporalités, ces territoires-là au même titre que les autres. Il s'agit, d'autre part, de contribuer à développer dans ces territoires tropicaux une ingénierie sociospatiale, interdisciplinaire et interculturelle à la fois, fondée sur la prise en compte des savoirs et des savoir-faire locaux, sur la co-compréhension des situations rencontrées et des comportements associés et sur la co-élaboration de réponses adaptées aux enjeux spécifiques que l’on y rencontre.

An Environmental History of the Great War
We intend to bring together an international group of 20 to 30 graduate students working on military, cultural, social, and environmental history of the First World War from 2nd to 7th July 2018. Over the course of the week, they will have opportunity to get to know each other, but also a wide range of internationally recognized academic experts. Guided tours on excursions to French and Belgian sites are an integral part of the program and will enrich the participants' experience.

Modernism, modernisation and the rural landscape
MODSCAPES_conference2018
The impact of the Modern Movement and modernisation processes on rural landscapes in Europe and beyond is a widespread but little known, recognised or understood phenomenon which still exerts effects today. Within the third joint research programme of HERA (Humanities in the European Research Area) dedicated to “The uses of the past” which started in 2016, this subject is now being studied through several lenses within the MODSCAPES project. MODSCAPES welcomes proposals (full sessions, papers, trainnig/workshop) to its mid-event event, an international conference dedicated to Modernism, modernisation and the rural landscape.

The work of Adolphe Alphand (1817-1891) in the context of the Grand Paris project today
Creation and transmission of an urban landscape
À l’heure du développement du Grand Paris mais également de la transformation de la capitale intra-muros et à la lumière des Plans climat et biodiversité, ce colloque revient sur l’œuvre fondatrice d’Adolphe Alphand (1817-1891). Figure majeure, mais encore peu connue de l’urbanisme parisien, Adolphe Alphand a dirigé la création du paysage parisien pendant presque quarante ans, initialement en collaboration avec le préfet Haussmann et ensuite en tant que Directeur général des Travaux de la ville de Paris. Organisé à l’occasion du 200e anniversaire de sa naissance, ce colloque se propose de réunir des historiens, des écologues, des paysagistes-concepteurs, des architectes et des urbanistes afin d'aborder son œuvre, sa réception et son héritage en regard du développement du Grand Paris et des villes du XXIe siècle.

Le colloque sera international et interdisciplinaire. Le sujet est à interpréter de manière large, afin d’inclure des écrivains et artistes contemporains de Zola, des analyses génétiques, politico-historiques et sociologiques aussi bien que des études de l’œuvre de Zola. Les invités d’honneur seront Professeur Henri Mitterand, Madame Martine Le Blond Zola et Madame Monique Sicard. Parmi les activités proposées il y aura une exposition, une visite du Musée de la mine de Lewarde et une sortie sur les pas de Zola à Anzin.

The “Landscapes” edition of dearq academic journal invites participants to reflect on what has globally been, principally since the beginning of the twentieth century, the evolution of the concept of landscape; the relevant methods of analysis; the methods of representation, of evaluation, and of teaching. This takes into consideration how the concept is a practical project tool that can be used for land-use planning, what landscape’s level of influence has been on the public policy decision-making process, what instruments and regulations have been used, and also how “landscape” and “territory” coexist.

The cross cutting conference theme, Environmental Changes in Historical Perspective, is inscribed in transnational and transdisciplinary approaches, a challenge to the current academic research and debate in environmental sciences and humanities.

Ce colloque permettra d’examiner les modalités selon lesquelles le livre — qui inclut des mots et des images (gravures ou photographies) en un univers clos — s’offre, du XIXe siècle jusqu’à nos jours, comme le réceptacle privilégié d’un archivage du patrimoine architectural ou paysager. La somme des différentes facettes d’un site — telle qu’elle est proposée au sein du livre — travaille à la construction d’une identité territoriale qui reflète mais aussi infléchit l’évolution des pratiques humaines de l’espace.

Labels in the field of cultural and natural heritage
Created in the 60s, the label's use for cultural and natural heritage has increased dramatically for several years, specially in France. Inherited from the marketing and trade world, the use of labels for cultural and natural heritage illustrates the expansion of heritage's conception to new artefacts and new cultural properties, in an anthropological meaning. Some recent studies on the cultural and natural heritage labels insist on the economic benefits for development of territories. But the legal and institutional dimensions of labels in heritage have been ignored. The goal of the symposium is to define and precise the purposes and the caracteristics of labels in the field of heritage.

Summer workshops in urban agriculture and biodiversity
Les premiers ateliers d'été de l’agriculture urbaine et de la biodiversité organisés en France, se dérouleront à Paris du lundi 30 juin au mercredi 2 juillet 2014. Pendant trois jours, des débats, des conférences et des visites de terrain permettront d’échanger nos expériences, de partager nos connaissances et de suivre des formations aussi bien pratiques que théoriques, entre chercheurs, collectivités, institutions, entrepreneurs et citoyens. Les ateliers d’été ouvrent leurs portes à la diversité des formes d'agriculture urbaine, qu'elles soient associatives, entrepreneuriales, hybrides, qu'elles produisent du miel, des légumes, des champignons, qu'elles se situent dans le périurbain, sur un toit, en pied d'immeuble, sur un parking... L'objectif étant de proposer un large panorama des expériences en Île-de-France, en France mais aussi à international et notamment dans les pays du Sud.
