It also provides and promotes sustainable education, knowledge, and knowledge exchange locally, nationally, and internationally. The Center for Advanced Study “RomanIslam. Center for Comparative Empire and Transcultural Studies” funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), invites applications for Resident Fellowships (post doc) starting in the year 2020. The fellowships are available for a duration between one and twelve months.

La péninsule Ibérique possède cette particularité d’avoir été le terrain de rencontres entre différentes cultures et à ce titre le théâtre de contacts entre divers systèmes religieux, particulièrement durant l’Antiquité et le Moyen Âge. De même que la réalité du mythe de la convivencia entre les trois religions monothéistes après 711 a été largement remise en question par une étude précise des sources, l’implantation successive de nouvelles religions, phénomène complexe et diversifié, semble mériter un réexamen.
