Book studies in the 19th century: student work in progress

    Home Away From Home

    Seminar HOME II

After a first series of seminars called Home: Heaven and Hell that explored the relations of a subject to his places of origin in contemporary narratives, a next series of HOME will dwell on the reconstruction of an imagined home. What characterizes this new home that follows the wandering, exile or migration? This time under the title of Home Away From Home, a second series of seminars wishes to examine present-day literary and artistic representations of adopted spaces as to understand how these representations emerge in interaction with a subject who is confronted with a territorial quest that is coming to an end.

Mediation: A transversal approach with multiple purposes

    Xth Congress World mediation forum

The WMF’s mission is the development and exchange of knowledge, information and competencies in all mediation areas, notably through the regular organization of international congresses for more than fifteen years. The Xth Conference of the World Mediation Forum wants to devote itself to trying to understand how mediation can be organized and developed when it has so many objectives that are seemingly difficult to reconcile. Thus, the 2019 conference will try to bring, through four highly interrelated roundtables and about forty presentations, a significant contribution to this question: 'Mediation: A transversal approach with multiple purposes?'

    The Temporalities of Unemployment

    Temporalités 29 (2019/1)

While “work” as an object boasts a long history in temporalist studies started in France by Georges Friedmann, Pierre Naville and William Grossin, it is not so much the case when it comes to employment and even further less to the loss of employment. At a time when unemployment has become a strong marker in professional careers, in public policies and in relationships to work, it appears necessary to update our knowledge of its temporalities and to explore its multiple aspects and developments in a pluridisciplinary perspective.
