  Neoliberalism in the Anglophone world

  References to neoliberalism in Anglophone scholarly research are commonplace, and have increased exponentially over the past couple of decades. Despite (or perhaps because of) such promiscuity, however, the term itself has been prone to inflation, and for some it has become an “overblown” concept that tends to be applied (in an invariably disapproving way) to pretty much anything today. This conference aims at presenting a critical overview of issues related to neoliberalism in the Anglophone world. It will be broad in scope by covering British, American and the other English-speaking areas, as well as the fields of civilisation, literature and linguistics, while maintaining a thematic focus on the concept of neoliberalism from international and interdisciplinary perspectives.

  Au rythme des ruptures technologiques et des usages qui accompagnent la «révolution numérique» depuis quarante ans, la problématique des données publiques prend une nouvelle actualité. L'accès aux fichiers, aux données et aux documents administratifs évoque deux enjeux de société : un enjeu socio-économique que souligne la directive européenne de 2003 : défi de compétitivité lié aux services d'information et de communication trans-frontières ; et un enjeu politique : défis d'une administration et d'un gouvernement qui partageraient leur information avec la presse et avec le grand public. Ce numéro souhaite faire le point sur ces enjeux.

  Journalism and societal questions through the prism of cultural industries

  Les questions sociétales (écologie, développement durable, santé, violence, risque, etc.) sont aujourd’hui prégnantes dans l’espace public et constituent presque une spécialité journalistique à part entière. Considérant que le journalisme est un élément constitutif des industries culturelles, ce colloque souhaite interroger les rapports entre journalisme et questions sociétales autour des dimensions suivantes : 1. La production journalistique, produit d’appel des entreprises, média et hors-média ? 2. Extension du champ journalistique (info-service, expertises, alertes, infotainment…) 3. De l’information des citoyens au rappel (imposition ?) de devoirs sociaux ? 4. Les potentialités participatives de l'Internet : question sociétale en soi ou simple vecteur ?
