A Jewish Model of Devolution? Inheritance in the Medieval and Modern Jewish Societies
In the last two decades, the history of the Jewish family has been at the center of a number of studies that have – in the light of a more general historiographical evolution – considerably renewed the subjects and perspectives of this field of research. In this context that made the Jewish studies a well distinguished discipline, we wish to focus on an aspect that has never been studied systematically and has never been subject to a methodological and comparative synthesis: the patrimonial transmission.

The History of Uses and Practices of the Environment
Cette journée cherche à explorer une histoire des pratiques attentive aux usages du milieu par sa construction, sa transformation, ses ajustements au cours du temps, qu’ils soient individuels ou collectifs, intégrés à un cadre juridique ou non. Ces usages permettent de relire l’histoire du paysage en cherchant à comprendre comment la matérialité détermine les lignes de force du paysage (exemples de la trame antique, des fossés bordiers, des remues de troupeaux, des réseaux souterrains qui structurent les espaces urbains...) tout autant que l’histoire de ses marges territoriales et des milieux réputés difficiles (haute montagne, grands ensembles d’étangs, tourbières…).
