  La nouvelle revue au comité multinational, Mondia-sciences des sciences humaines et sociales MSSHS, est une revue internationale, rattachée au laboratoire de recherches pluridisciplinaire des sciences de l’homme, environnement et société (LAPLUSHES). Cet appel à contribution par un article concerne son premier numéro qui est consacré au phénomène de la migration et aux sens philosophiques, psychologiques, sociologiques, historiques ou environnementaux qui puissent interpeler la compréhension de cette dynamique, qui tourne très souvent en catastrophes.

  1st International Symposium: Hope, Betrayal and Trust

  Part of the Research Program on: Lost Virtues, Found Vices

  This trans-disciplinary research project is interested in exploring the complex and fluid relationships between hope and trust, and how might betrayal play a productive role in this bond. As concepts, ideas or simple notions, hope and trust seem to have simultaneously lost contemporary currency while being ever more necessary in our every day lives. We seem resigned to a kind of hopelessness, seem unwilling to trust others and are ready and willing to betray whomever we might need to in order to advance our own careers or personal agendas. Yet new technologies require us to place personal information online, to communicate with strangers, and to hold onto the promise of happiness. How are our maintenance of hope, our need to trust and our willingness to betray intertwined? How are these concepts evolving?

  Game Studies ? À la française !

  Ce week-end d’études du jeu vidéo « à la française » a lieu à Paris les 7 et 8 mai. Dans uneperspective très ouverte à toutes les approches, il s’agit de replacer dans leurs histoires et leurs traditions singulières les recherches menées sur les jeux vidéo en sciences sociales et sciences humaines. Ce week-end n’aurait pas vu le jour sans le travail remarquable mené au cours des dix dernières années, et c’est ce travail qu’il s’agit de célébrer et mieux connaître. Il sera l’occasion conviviale de nous retrouver, de nous comprendre, de prolonger nos collaborations et d’en ouvrir de nouvelles.
