  Éducation, pédagogie et formation. Circulation des savoirs autour de la mer Baltique du Moyen Âge au début du XXe siècle

  Cette journée d’étude s’inscrit dans une volonté de valorisation des questions relatives aux pays de la mer Baltique, c’est-à-dire les pays scandinaves (Suède, Norvège, Danemark et Finlande), baltes (Estonie, Lettonie et Lituanie) et la Russie, durant une période large, allant de l'époque médiévale au début du XX^e siècle. Au carrefour de champs de recherches profondément renouvelés, la question de la circulation, par le choix de la triade éducation, pédagogie et formation, se révèle être une approche pertinente et inédite pour étudier cette région. Avec la volonté de privilégier le dialogue entre les disciplines, cette journée d’étude souhaite réunir des intervenants de tous domaines : histoire, histoire de l’art, géographie, sociologie, anthropologie, mathématiques, physique, biologie…. Elle a également la volonté de s’adresser aussi bien aux jeunes chercheurs de Master qu’aux chercheurs plus confirmés.

  Education in a Globalizing World: Historical Perspectives and Contemporary Challenges

  Réunissant des chercheur-e-s de plusieurs pays européens, cette conférence a pour ambition d’analyser les défis posés à la recherche en éducation par le processus de globalisation. Il s’agit plus précisément de questionner les dynamiques d’internationalisation des débats, politiques et doctrines éducatives, explorant notamment les interconnections entre pays, institutions et individus, leur profondeur historique ainsi que les multiples répercussions sur la structuration de disciplines telle que les sciences de l’éducation, l’éducation comparée ou encore l’histoire de l’éducation.

  La culture enfantine en URSS, 1917-1941

  Objets, lieux et pratiques

  Le présent colloque inaugure une série de rencontres internationales et interdisciplinaires consacrées à la culture enfantine en URSS (1917-1941). Il s’agit d’étudier les objets culturels créés pour et/ou par les enfants et relevant de la culture littéraire, textuelle, musicale, matérielle (comme les jouets), visuelle (illustration, imagerie murale fixe et mobile) et spectaculaire (cinéma, théâtre d’ombres et de marionnettes). Nous situerons ces objets dans leurs conditions de création, diffusion, réception et appropriation, et les comprendrons dans leurs dimensions pratiques et réflexives.

  Family morphologies: Leone and Natalia Ginzburg in Italian and European literature and culture

  Focusing on the works by Leone (1909-1944) and Natalia Ginzburg (1916-1991) the Summer School is dedicated to a reflection on the authors’ contribution to the 20th century Italian and European history. Besides a critical analysis of their creative and intellectual activity and their civic engagement, the participants will have the opportunity to debate the role both Leone and Natalia had in the publishing house Einaudi, and to experiment new methods of teaching literature. The program includes 3 plenary lessons and 5 seminars. Special guest: Carlo Ginzburg.Language of the activities: Italian.

  Women in Educated Elites of Pre-Socialist and Early Socialist East Central European Societies

  The opening up to modernity of East Central Europe since the late 19th century was marked – among other things – by a triple process generating structural transformations of established post-feudal societies and affecting often radically the status of women. Due to post-feudal conditions of competition for social standing, positions of influence and prestige, hitherto unknown forms of inequalities appeared in the very process of accumulation of political, economic, professional, cultural an educational assets henceforth necessary for the access to the elites. Female professionals, though they could rarely achieve advanced careers in the ruling elites in the old regime, so much so that they often encountered even various forms of public rejection and discrimination on intellectual markets, significantly participated in the framing of the way of life of the new middle class. This workshop will adopt a gender-focused perspective cocentrating on the place of women (training, education, professions) and bringing to light the differences and inequalities existing between male and female members of educated elites.

  L'histoire des universités en Europe : de Bologne à Bologne

  XVIIe colloque franco-polonais, université de Strasbourg et université Adam Mickiewicz de Poznan

  Colloque international organisé à l'Université de Strasbourg par Georges Bischoff (Histoire médiévale) et Patrick Werly (Littérature comparée). Ce colloque aimerait aborder quelques « grands moments » de l’histoire de l’enseignement supérieur en Europe. Le propos n’est pas de tendre à une synthèse, qui n’est pas envisageable dans ce cadre, mais plutôt d’essayer d’analyser des tournants de cette histoire, des moments et des lieux où s’est posée en Europe la question du rôle social de l’université, de sa vocation comme institution. La thématique envisagée est donc celle du changement : fondation, crises, recompositions mais aussi, inévitablement, celle de la continuité, dans l’optique de comparaisons dans le temps et dans l’espace. La chronologie retenue embrasse une longue durée : du XIIe siècle à l’avant-veille du processus dit « de Bologne ». Le propos est de mettre l’accent sur des « modèles » exemplaires confrontés à l’exception (si elle existe), ou à des différences.

  Historical Development of National Systems of Elite Formation in Eastern and Central Europe

  This workshop is bringing together specialists from mostly Eastern Europe together with some West European partners, capable and liable of sharing their localised research expertise in the study of the birth and initial development of national systems of elite training in a number of (mostly but not exclusively) small East Central European societies. All of them have very concrete empirical research agendas and records in these fields, but separately, applied to their own national societies. The idea of the meeting is born from the need of and the interest in comparing – in many thematic issues term by term – research findings, insights and questions gained from studies of the training, career and activities of various East European elite groups during the decades up to the Soviet take-over.
