Beyond the Boundaries: Technologies for Local History
on 24 November 2001 at the University of Newcastle

The Association for History and Computing (UK) was founded in 1987 to provide a forum for the growing number of historians who use computers to support their research and teaching. The AHC's second annual one-day conference will consider the application of technology to local history, focusing on four exciting projects. By improving access to researchers and students to historical sources in different media, are computers providing new opportunities to relate the study of localities to the larger world?
