Deadlines

26 de Junho 2011: apresentação de resumos de artigos de investigação ou de estudos de caso (300-500 palavras) e cartazes. Os resumos, os cartazes e as palavras-chave têm de estar em inglês. O resumo deve incluir as palavras-chave, o(s) respectivo(s) tema(s) da conferência, a língua a adoptar no artigo, os objectivos, a metodologia, as principais contribuições e conclusões do artigo (formato Microsoft Word, fonte Times New Roman 12, 1,5 de espaçamento). Serão revistos pelos membros da comissão científica. Por favor, envie o seu resumo ou a proposta de cartaz para chaves2011@utad.pt. Este documento deve ter o título do seu artigo.

5 de Setembro 2011: apresentação dos artigos completos, escritos em Inglês (preferencialmente), Português ou Espanhol. A língua oficial da conferência é o inglês. Textos escritos em português e espanhol podem ser aceites para apresentação em sessões paralelas nestas línguas.

Os resumos aceites serão publicados num Livro de Actas impresso e os artigos aceitos em CD-ROM ou online. Ambas as publicações receberão um ISBN e serão distribuídas na conferência. Instruções detalhadas, como o guia de estilo, serão dadas mais tarde na Wiki.

Os melhores artigos serão publicados numa das seguintes formas:

• Revista Turismo & Desenvolvimento, líder dos jornais de turismo português, indexada nas seguintes bases científicas internacionais: Dialnet, Latindex e GETcited, para uma mistura de artigos portugueses, espanhóis ou ingleses;
• Journal of Tourism History, para artigos ingleses com uma forte perspectiva histórica;
• Livro com artigos em português/espanhol.

There will be three payment modes: author, participant and student.
The inscription fee includes conference documentation, certificate of participance and coffee breaks.

Keynote speakers (preliminary list)

Patricia Erfurt Cooper - PhD lectures in tourism planning and resource management at Ritsumeikan Asia-Pacific University, Japan. She has co-edited two books with Malcolm Cooper: “Volcano and geothermal tourism” and “Health and wellness tourism. Spas and hot springs”. Her research interests include geothermal resources for human use and geotourism in volcanic and geothermal environments with a focus on risk management and sustainability.

Malcolm Cooper - Malcolm Cooper PhD is vice president (research) and holds the position of professor of tourism management in the Graduate School of Asia Pacific Studies at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, Japan. Professor Cooper has published over 80 books, refereed articles and book chapters. His research interests include tourism development and planning, sustainable development and management of environmental resources.
