Call for papers

This is a journal linked to the Europe Direct Information Centre of Aveiro, to Center for Interdisciplinary Studies of the Twentieth Century, University of Coimbra - CEIS20, in partnership with the Office of the European Parliament in Portugal and with the Representation of European Commission in Portugal.

Its number 9 is now being prepared, to be released in 2013, and its theme will be "European Dialogues". It would therefore be relevant that the thematic dossier of this issue, coordinated by Maria Isabel Valente Freitas and Alexandra Aragon, would stimulate a set of reflections on dialogues in Europe, focusing on aspects such as:

1.      European citizenship, citizens and minorities rights

2.      Initiatives of European Citizenship (http://ec.europa.eu/citizens-initiative/)

3.      Governance, openness and participation

4.      The European Union and Human Rights

5.      North-South Dialogues

The deadline for submitting proposals is May 31, 2013, and the submission of papers for publication, respecting the rules on publication of articles in (http://europe-directaveiro.aeva.eu/debatereuropa/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=4&Itemid=6) should be emailed to debatereuropa@gmail.com.
