Le titulaire de ce poste à plein temps sera chargé de l’enseignement et de la recherche dans le champ de l’exégèse du Nouveau Testament, plus spécialement des évangiles (synoptiques, saint Jean).

PROFIL DU CANDIDAT

Le candidat devra être docteur en théologie catholique (doctorat canonique).

Outre le niveau universitaire du candidat, il sera tenu compte de ses compétences et qualités pédagogiques et de son aptitude à mettre en œuvre un enseignement et une recherche dynamiques. Par ailleurs, le candidat devra manifester une capacité de travail en équipe dans le cadre des instances pédagogiques du Theologicum.

Il devra maîtriser la langue française aussi bien à l’oral qu’à l’écrit. La capacité à donner un cours en anglais est une compétence dont il sera tenu compte.

Il est souhaité que le candidat ait une expérience d’au moins 5 ans d’enseignement après sa publication de thèse, qu’il ait accompagné au moins 5 thèses avec succès et démontré ses capacités par des publications internationales.

TÂCHES UNIVERSITAIRES

L’enseignant-chercheur en exégèse du Nouveau Testament sera chargé d’un enseignement régulier en Licence (Baccalauréat canonique) et Master (Licence canonique) dans ce champ disciplinaire ; plus spécifiquement il pourra être chargé des cours sur les évangiles (synoptiques, saint Jean).

Il pourra être appelé à collaborer à des modules de méthodologie et à des ateliers, à des séminaires interdisciplinaires. Il dirigera des mémoires de Master et des thèses de doctorat. Il pourra être amené à participer à l’enseignement doctoral.

Pour ses activités de recherche, l’enseignant en exégèse du Nouveau Testament sera rattaché à l’unité de recherche de l’Université.

Il pourra être conduit à consacrer une partie de son temps à des tâches administratives et pédagogiques nécessaires à la bonne marche du Theologicum.

STATUT ET RÉMUNÉRATION

Sa rémunération sera celle d’un enseignant-chercheur de même grade de l’ICP.

La première année sera une année probatoire sous la forme d’un CDD, à l’issue de laquelle l’enseignant sera évalué avant une intégration dans le corps facultaire par une élection.

ECHEANCIER

L’appel à candidature est lancé en février 2014.

La campagne de candidatures se terminera au 15 avril 2014.

Des auditions sur place à l’ICP seront faites au cours du mois de mai 2014 pour les candidats sélectionnés.
Toutes les candidatures feront l’objet d’une réponse définitive en juin 2014.

• - la liste des publications et un exemplaire des publications majeures (5 au maximum) ;
• - un texte de 2 à 3 pages où le candidat expose ses champs de recherche actuels et ses perspectives ;
• - les documents administratifs en langue étrangère doivent être traduits en français.

Definition of the Position

Candidate Profile

The candidate for the position must have a doctorate in Catholic Theology (doctorat canonique). In addition to the candidate’s level of academic accomplishment, consideration will be given to the candidate’s teaching skills and qualities as well as his or her aptitude to engage in dynamic instruction and research. In addition, the candidate will demonstrate a capacity for teamwork in the context of Theologicum’s overall teaching mission. The candidate will demonstrate mastery of both written and spoken French. The candidate’s ability to teach a course in English is a skill that will also be taken into account.
It is desirable that the candidate have at least 5 years teaching experience after the publication of the thesis, that he/she has supervised at least 5 theses successfully and shown his/her capabilities through international publications.

University Responsibilities

As an instructor-researcher in New Testament exegesis, the candidate will teach courses in this field at both the undergraduate level (Baccalauréat canonique) and Master level (License canonique). More specifically, he or she could be asked to teach courses on the Gospels (synoptic Gospels and Saint John). The candidate will be expected to participate in methodology modules, educational workshops and interdisciplinary seminars. He or she will direct Master’s theses and doctoral dissertations and may be asked to participate in teaching at the doctoral level.

The candidate’s research activities will be linked to the research unit of the University. The candidate will also devote a part of his or her time to administrative responsibilities necessary for the proper functioning of Theologicum.

Status and Compensation

The candidate’s compensation will be commensurate with that of an instructor-researcher of the same level at the University. The first year will represent a trial period with a one year contract (contrat de durée déterminée). At the end of the first year, the candidate will be evaluated and considered for appointment to the faculty by election

Calendar

- The call for candidates began in February 2014 and will end on 15 April 2014.
- Interviews will take place in Paris during the month of May 2014 for invited candidates.
- All candidates will receive a final reply in June 2014.

- Curriculum vitae including detailed description of all courses and seminars that the candidate has taught, of all directions of Master’s theses and doctoral dissertations (if any);
