La Société internationale pour l'histoire de la carte, organise son second symposium à Paris le vendredi 13 juin 2014, en collaboration avec la Bibliothèque nationale de France et le Comité français de cartographie. Le thème de ce symposium est celui de la relation entre conflits et cartographie, que la carte représente ces conflits ou soit utilisée dans un cadre conflictuel (conflit juridique, guerre) ou diplomatique. La journée se déroule à la BnF, site Richelieu. Elle est ouverte à tous, les conférences et discussions sont en anglais.

The International Society for the History of the Map organizes its Second Symposium on Friday 13th June 2014, in collaboration with the French National Library and the French Committee of Cartography. The topic of this symposim is the relationship between conflicts and Cartography, wether the map represents the conflict or is used within a conflict (dispute, war) or a diplomatic framework. The conference takes place at the French National Library, Richelieu site. Entrance is free, papers and discussions are in English.
