Job description

The Department of History and Classical Studies of McGill University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor in Classical Archaeology, effective 1 August 2016.

The successful applicant can expect to teach and develop courses in Archaeology, Ancient History, and Classics.

Requirements

The successful applicant is expected to hold a Ph.D. at time of appointment, to show promise of excellence in teaching and to have an innovative research portfolio. An active field research program is desirable.

The ability to teach ancient Greek and/or Latin is essential.
