Neste painel pretende-se discutir os processos de mobilidade das populações migrantes dos países “lusófonos”, procurando construir através das diferentes apresentações um mosaico alargado de reflexões sobre quando e como se têm vindo a deslocar estas populações e como definem e instrumentalizam a ideia “imaginada” e politicamente construída de “comunidade lusófona”.

This panel is meant to discuss these migrating populations’ mobility procedures in lusophone countries, while seeking to construct through the different presentations a broaden mosaic of reflexions about when and how these populations have moved, and how they have used and instrumentalized the "imagined" and politically constructed idea of a "lusophone community".

Argumento

Na criação do espaço denominado por “lusófono” – entendido e questionado aqui como projecto político nacional e supranacional de âmbito pós-colonial – a mobilidade humana tem tido um papel determinante, em particular na redefinição das relações de força, das relações políticas e das construções identitárias entre os países que o constituem. As migrações têm tido assim na história de cada um destes países um peso estrutural e as circulações migratórias que os atravessam têm dado origem a um conjunto de representações colectivas, de discursos sobre a alteridade, sobre a partilha de uma história comum que não têm sido questionados de forma sistemática e comparativa. Neste painel pretende-se discutir estes processos de mobilidade das populações migrantes dos países lusófonos, procurando construir através das diferentes apresentações um mosaico alargado de reflexões sobre quando e como se têm vindo a deslocar estas populações, que estratégias identitárias mobilizam, que redes sociais locais, translocais e transnacionais erigem, como definem as fronteiras que atravessam e os percursos de mobilidade que integram e como definem, utilizam e instrumentalizam a ideia “imaginada” e politicamente construída de uma “comunidade lusófona”.

Submissão de propostas

As propostas deverão ser enviadas até ao dia

15 de Dezembro de 2015.

•  As propostas deverão ser enviadas para o correio electrónico dos coordenadores de painel, contendo o nome e filiação institucional do(s) proponente(s), o título da comunicação, um resumo curto (50 palavras) e um resumo longo (250 palavras);
•  Cada comunicação poderá ter até dois proponentes;
•  Cada proponente poderá apresentar apenas uma comunicação ao congresso, podendo ser também coordenador ou debatedor de painel.

Abstract

Human mobilities have played a determining role in the creation of a so-called « lusophone » space – which is comprehended and questioned here as a national, supranational and “postcolonial” political project – most primarily in regards to the redefinition of power struggles, of political relationships and of identitary construction among constituent countries. Migrations have exerted a structural constraint on the history of each of these countries, and the migratory circulations that travel across them have led to collective representations, discourses about alterity, about sharing a common History, which have not being questionned in a systematic and comparative fashion. This panel is meant to discuss these migrating populations’ mobility procedures in lusophone countries, while seeking to construct through the different presentations a broaden mosaic of reflexions about when and how these populations have moved, the identitary strategies that they have mobilized, the local, translocal and transnational social networks that they have built, how they have defined the frontiers that they have crossed as well as the mobility routes, and how they have used and instrumentalized the « imagined » and politically constructed idea of a « lusophone community ».

• Paper proposals must be sent to the e-mails of the panel coordinators, and must include the name(s) and institutional affiliation(s)  of the proponent(s), the title of the paper, a short abstract (50 words) and a long abstract (250 words).
• Each paper may have one or two proponents.
• Each person may present only one paper to the congress, but may also be discussant or panel coordinator
