Argument
The current crises in the Central Africa and the Great Lakes sub-regions have caused the movement of persons in an unprecedented scale. The most recent case studies of insecurity in these sub-regions are quite revealing on the impact of insecurity and migration in Central Africa, in human societies and particularly on women and youths.
As a result, the Management of Social Transformations Programme (MOST) of UNESCO is organizing a forum to enable the understanding of the phenomena of insecurity and migration in the Central African sub-region as well as their effects on the vulnerable population, women and youths.
The Forum's scientific debates shall focus on four sub-themes: refugees and time codes; youths and social change; climatic conditions and women empowerment; food insecurity and an upsurge in criminality.
The scientific committee of the MOST Ministerial Forum calls for papers under the following sub-themes:
- Sub-theme 1: Refugees: Time and codes
- Sub- theme 2: Young People and Social Change
