Le Département de Français et d'Italien à l'Université d'Arizona est ravi d'organiser ce colloque auquel tous les mastérants et doctorants en français sont invités à participer afin d'avoir l'opportunité de:

• présenter leur recherche lors d'une communication orale avec le format traditionnel de 20 minutes pour la communication suivie de 10 minutes pour les questions et commentaires
  
• ou présenter leur recherche en cours dans une table ronde qui permettra une communication de 15 minutes suivie d'un véritable échange et retour d'information
• s'inscrire à des ateliers ludiques de recherche sur deux thèmes différents (voir Ateliers ci-dessous)
  
• rencontrer d'autres étudiants et des professeurs.
• assister à deux sessions plénières de chercheurs éminents portant sur des thématiques différentes 
  
• assister à un festival de courts métrages francophones pour l'ouverture du colloque le 23 février
  

Ce colloque est à l'image de nos programmes de master. Nous serons donc ravis de recevoir des propositions de communication correspondant à une ou plusieurs des thématiques suivantes:

• linguistique théorique et appliquée
• acquisition d'une première et/ou seconde langue
• didactique du FLE, technologies numériques et didactique
  
• literature, culture et civilisation françaises et francophones
  
• cinéma francophone
  
• études féminines, sexualité et études queer
  

Les participants qui auront fait une communication orale ou en table ronde seront invités à soumettre un manuscript pour un numéro de nos Arizona Working Papers in French & Italian.

Nous sommes ravis d'accueillir Dr. Denis Jamet de l'Université de Lyon et Dr. Lydie Moudelino de  University of Southern California.

Les participants pourront s'inscrire à deux ateliers différents:

1. La musique hip hop et les cultures francophones par Dr. Alain-Philippe Durand

2. Les technologies numériques et l'acquisition d'une seconde langue par Dr. Emily Hellmich

Veuillez noter les échéances suivantes:

• 4 décembre 2017: soumission d'une proposition de communication orale ou en table ronde

• 20 décembre 2017: notification d'acceptation ou de rejet des propositions de communication
• 20 décembre 2017: début des inscriptions à tarif réduit ($35 pour les étudiants, $75 pour les professeurs)
• 1er février 2018: fin des inscriptions à tarif réduit, début des inscriptions à $50 pour les étudiants, $100 pour les professeurs
• 23 et 24 février 2018 : Colloque

The French & Italian Department at the University of Arizona is delighted to organize this conference to which all MA and doctoral students in French are invited to participate so that they may have the opportunity to

• give a talk following the traditional format of 20 minutes to present plus 10 minutes for questions and comments
  
• present work in progress in a round-table format that will allow for constructive feedback and a stimulating interaction (15 minutes to present + 15 minutes for feedback)
• sign up for a fun and instructive research workshop on two different topics (see Workshops below)
  
• attend two plenaries by renowned researchers on two different topics
  
• meet other students and faculty who are warmly invited to attend as well
• attend a Francophone short film festival on February 23 

This conference mirrors our MA programmes. We will thus be delighted to receive abstracts addressing one or more of the following strands:

• theoretical and applied linguistics
• first, second language acquisition
  
• teaching French as a second/foreign language
• digital technologies and pedagogy
  
• French and Francophone literature, culture and civilization 
  
• Francophone cinema
  
• Women's studies, queer studies and sexuality
  

The participants who will have given a talk (traditional talk or round-table presentation) will be invited to submit a paper to our online Arizona Working Papers in French & Italian.

We are delighted to welcome Dr. Denis Jamet from the Université de Lyon and Dr. Lydie Moudelino from the University of Southern California.
