This topical issue aims to gather current research on underlying mechanisms as well as economic consequences of scientific and innovative activities in a broad spectrum from the individual level analysis of the production of scientific articles and/or patents to sectoral level analysis of R&D activities and policies.
The scope of this Topical Issue includes, but is not limited to, the following areas of research:
- Analysis of academic labor markets
- Cost efficiency of science
- Economics of patents
- Gender and academic careers
- Life cycle analysis of innovators/scientists
- Patents and trade
- R&D activities and innovation
- Scientific productivity
- Scientometric analysis of academic publications
- Sociology of collaboration
- Tax incentives for R&D and multi-national firms
The deadline for submissions is September 16, 2018.
