Resumen

Este curso pretende facultar aos participantes conhecimentos teóricos sobre o Programa Turismo 4.0 e conhecimentos técnicos de como tornar a atividade turística interactiva com recurso a uma ferramenta de Realidade Aumentada. Além disso, pretende também capacitar com as competências práticas para explorar as diferentes potencialidades do Webmapping e da Realidade Aumentada que se têm assumido como novas ferramentas para a atividade turística. Esta Summer School tem como destinatários os funcionários das Câmaras Municipais e dos Postos de Turismo, instituições e profissionais que desenvolvem atividades ligadas ao turismo, estando também aberta à participação do público em geral e a estudantes universitários.

Presentation

The Laboratory of Landscapes, Heritage and Territory (Lab2PT - University of Minho) and the Center for Social Studies (CES - University of Coimbra), within the context of the CREATOUR project, are organizing a Summer School on the theme Tools for Tourism 4.0: Novas Ferramentas para a atividade turística. The Summer School will take place between June 11 and 14, 2019, at the GIS Laboratory of the Department of Geography, at the University of Minho, Azurém campus, in Guimarães.

This course aims to provide participants with theoretical knowledge about Tourism 4.0 and technical knowledge of how to create interactive tourism activity using an Augmented Reality tool. It will also train participants with practical skills to explore different potentialities of Webmapping and Augmented Reality as new tools for tourism activity.

This Summer School is intended for employees of the City Councils, Tourist Offices, and institutions and professionals who carry out activities linked to tourism. It is also open to the participation of the general public and university students.

Please note that this Summer School will be taught in Portuguese.

The course is structured in 6 modules for a total workload of 30 hours:

1 - Introduction to Tourism Program 4.0 (C.H. 3 hours) - Miguel Pereira (Lab2PT/University of Minho);

2 - Identification and acquisition of tourist resources (C.H. 7 hours) - Ricardo Gôja (Lab2PT/University of Minho);

3 - Database structuring (C.H. 5 hours) - Maurício Silva (I.B.G.E. and University of Minho);

4 - GIS applied to tourism (C.H. 5 hours) - Vítor Ribeiro (Lab2PT/University of Minho) and Carlos Alves (Lab2PT/University of Minho);

5 - Webmapping in tourism (C.H. 5 hours) - Vítor Ribeiro (Lab2PT/University of Minho);

6 - Elaboration of an Augmented Reality app applied to tourism (C.H. 5 hours) - Miguel Pereira (Lab2PT/University of Minho).
