Cette master class en humanités numériques se tiendra du 19 au 25 avril 2020 au Moulin d’Andé (Normandie). Plusieurs axes sont proposés : données lexicales, édition numérique scientifique (en particulier d’égo-documents) et données d’autorité. Une partie des cours sera consacrée à la maîtrise de l’outillage TEI dans l’ensemble de ces domaines, mais la master class ne se limitera pas à cela. L’ensemble des étapes du workflow d’un projet en humanités numériques sera abordé, de la constitution du corpus jusqu’à la valorisation des résultats. La langue principale de travail est l’anglais. La master class est co-organisée par DARIAH-EU, Inria, l’Institut historique Allemand et Le Mans Université.

Les équipes des Master Class Lexical Data et Humanités Numériques franco-allemandes associent leurs compétences pour vous aider à enrichir les vôtres!

Cette Master Class commune (DHMC2020) se tiendra du 19 au 25 avril 2020 au Moulin d’Andé (Normandie). Co-organisée par DARIAH-EU, Inria, l’Institut Historique Allemand et Le Mans Université, elle bénéficie du soutien financier du ministère de l’enseignement supérieur, de la recherche et de l’innovation.

DHMC2020 réunira 30 participant.e.s qui auront l’opportunité de faire progresser leur projet en Humanités Numériques grâce aux mini-cours et aux séances pratiques accompagnées par les expert.e.s présent.e.s. Plusieurs axes sont proposés: données lexicales, édition numérique scientifique (en particulier d’égo-documents) et données d’autorité. La participation à la Master Class est gratuite; les frais de logement et de bouche sont pris en charge pour l’ensemble des participant.e.s. Une bourse leur est par ailleurs accordée en soutien aux frais de transports (à hauteur de 60 EUR pour les personnes venant de France et de 100 EUR pour les autres pays). Les participant.e.s devront partager des chambres (chambres de deux au Moulin d’Andé) et s’engagent à assister à la totalité de la semaine de Master Class.

Presentation of the candidate:

• Present here your educational background and experience, showing in particular your current field of expertise in the humanities and relevant digital skills.
• Please also indicate the working languages you can use during the master class (French, German or English).

Presentation of the digital project you want to work on during the master class:

• Provide an overview of the scholarly expectations of your project, the kind of sources your project is based on, their current state of digitisation, what you would like to achieve for your project during the master class, as well as any information you may consider relevant for us to situate your project within the objectives of the masterclass.
• Please provide some background as to the availability of your data (licence, hosting, etc.).

Your personal objectives with regards to the master class:

Indicate the competences, technologies or skills you would specifically expect to acquire over the course of the master class. We will use this information to finalise the training plan.

Instructeurs

• Anne Baillot is professor for German Studies with a focus on Digital Humanities at Le Mans Université (France). She studied at the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris, received a PhD in German Studies from the University Paris-8 in 2002 and a habilitation à diriger des recherches from the EHESS in 2016. Between 2008 and 2015, she directed the project "Berlin intellectuals 1800-1830" and edited the digital scholarly edition Letters and Texts. Intellectual Berlin around 1800. Her research interests include textual studies, cultural heritage, translation studies and open science.
• Mareike König is head of the DH department and the library at the German Historical Institute in Paris. She studied history in Hamburg and Paris and received a PhD in contemporary history at the University Rostock in 1999. She studied Library and Information Science in Berlin (2004-2006). In 2012, she started the German speaking blogportal for the humanities de.hypotheses together with OpenEdition and the Max Weber Foundation. Her research interests include French-German history in the 19th century and digital history, especially scientific communication and publication.
• Torsten Roeder coordinates all Digital Humanities activities of the Leopoldina Centre for Science Studies at the German National Academy in Halle/Saale. He studied musicology and Italian studies in Hamburg, Rome, and Berlin, and received his PhD at the University of Würzburg. He started his career in the field of Digital Humanities at the Berlin Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities, and specialized since then in prosopography, scholarly editions and DH management.
• Laurent Romary is Directeur de Recherche at Inria, France and former director of DARIAH. He received a PhD degree in computational linguistics in 1989 and his Habilitation in 1999. He carries out research on the modelling of semi-structured documents, with a specific emphasis on texts and linguistic resources. He has been active in standardisation activities with ISO, as chair of committee ISO/TC 37/SC 4 (2002-2014), chair of ISO/TC 37 (2016-) and the Text Encoding Initiative, as member (2001-2011) and chair (2008-2011) of its technical council. He has been involved in the definition of the scientific information policy of CNRS (2005-2006), the Max-Planck Digital Library (2006-2008) and Inria (2006-).
• Toma Tasovac is director of the Belgrade Center for Digital Humanities (BCDH) and director of DARIAH-EU. His areas of interest include lexicography, data modeling, TEI, digital editions and research infrastructures. Toma was previously a Steering Group member of the European Network for eLexicography (ENeL), and is currently also affiliated with the European Lexicographic Infrastructure (ELEXIS).
