Mobile technologies, innovation and development
Ce colloque a pour objectif de faire le point sur le développement des technologies de l’information et leurs usages dans le cadre de l’innovation et du développement, de montrer des exemples de pratiques technologiques émergentes, de développer une réflexion théorique et méthodologique adaptée aux pays en voie de développement ou en émergence. Il s’agit, en d’autres termes, de soulever, à travers de récents travaux et expériences particulières, des questions sur les aspects scientifiques, éthiques et civiques liées à l’usage des technologies de l'information et de la communication pour le développement. Le format proposé est celui d’un colloque itinérant sur quatre sites différents.

Les quartiers ouvriers, les cordons industriels, tout d’abord, les zones rurales libérées par la guérilla, par la suite. Ce sont précisément ces réminiscences « sesentistas » et « setentistas » de la jeunesse d’Amalfitano que nous nous proposons d’explorer dans le cadre de cette journée d’études.

La Revue Etudes Canadiennes / Canadian Studies souhaite mettre en lumière les recherches récentes de jeunes doctorants ou de chercheurs chevronnés sur l’histoire de la Nouvelle-France comprise ici dans toute son étendue géographique, de l’Acadie à la Louisiane, du Canada à Terre-Neuve… L’optique de cette publication est de renouveler la littérature scientifique sur des sujets bien connus ou trop connus, ou sur des thématiques peu étudiées jusque là. La question est simple : Y-a-t-il eu depuis dix ans un renouvellement de l’historiographie sur les sociétés et cultures de la Nouvelle-France (1534-1763), sur les relations avec la France de l’ancien régime, sur le monde atlantique, ou sur la question autochtone.

New perspectives on the concept of authorship, 1700-1900
The goal of this conference is to reassess, challenge, and enlarge the concept of authorship, by giving the author a post-mortem of sorts. To do this, we want to bring together fresh and critical historiographical perspectives on the concept of authorship, and challenge participants to think in comparative and transnational frameworks. Ideally, we seek to draw together work from a wide variety of sub-disciplines, creating a dialogue which connects often-separated fields such as book history and literary history.

The Power of non-powers and perspectives on the economic, social and political aspects of European Security Strategy in the early Cold War
What are the historical roots of views of European defense and Europe's role in Western defence? How did the early European Integration movement perceive American involvement in the development of a common security strategy? This conference will investigate these and other related questions by re-examining the early cold war US/European relationship and the role that early Cold War period developments played in the European Integration Movement. In so doing, this conference will also showcase findings which can contribute to the unification of Cold War and European Integration historiographies.

What kind of development for “the post-crisis city”?
Des grandes villes dans le monde ont connu des épisodes traumatiques de fortesampleurs, marquant durablement ces espaces et leurs populations. Ces événements, parfois sources de transformations majeures des zones touchées, peuvent également révéler ou se faire le relais de mécanismes de crise plus profonds. À travers quatre axes de discussion (morphologie et composition des nouveaux tissus urbains, fabrication de marges sociospatiales, moteurs et pratiques du développement économique, citadinité et pratiques urabines), le colloque propose d'aborder les conséquences de ces périodes traumatiques sur les dynamiques urbaines, en interrogeant le rôle de la crise et son importance entant que facteur de causalité des évolutions récentes qui marquent ces villes.

Knowledge translation on a global scale (Asia-Europe-the Americas, 16th - 20th century)
The aim of this workshop is to contribute to the discussion about the complex and multi-faceted interactions engendered in the translation of knowledge between cultures across space and time, as well as the aspects inevitably involved in the process of both its transmission and reception. The contributions address the translation of concepts, also examining the lexical changes initiated by the influx of new or foreign knowledge, and that of practices, i.e. concrete examples to be found in the process of translating knowledge, which in turn entails its interpretation and adaptation.

Visions and Experiences of Urban Change in the Second World
This conference examines socialist cities at their points of entry or exit from the socialist project. The theme of transition into and out of socialism and the (un-)making of socialist cities serves as entry points into broader discussions about the specificity of urban change in the Second World and its relationship to similar currents in the global North and South. The conference examines the content of the socialist city – its “ins and outs” – from power grids and housing stocks to museums and places of worship at these points of transition.

En repensant les mécanismes de crédit, les processus d’endettement ou les nouveaux enjeux de la question salariale, de multiples analyses invitent à réfléchir aux formes de légitimation ou de rejet des inégalités dans une société capitaliste. This is a topic deserving a multifaceted and in-depth analysis, using a broad, international comparative perspective and combining the results of very different fields of historical research: history of science, church and religion, social and political history, etc.

Avec cet appel, nous souhaitons plus particulièrement voir aborder la criminalité financière sous l’angle d’une déviance économique légitimée par un système financier où les agents économiques peuvent être à la fois les pourfendeurs de la fraude fiscale, du blanchiment de capitaux et les initiateurs de ces délits ou ces illégalités. Il s’agira de réfléchir plus précisément aux relations incestueuses qui unissent la légalité formelle et informelle du capitalisme globalisé avec la sphère criminelle.

Le retour incessant sur un passé traumatique donne lieu à de nouvelles formes d’expression répondant aux problématiques socioculturelles contemporaines. Comment transmettre ce passé, indissociable des idéologies totalitaires, aux nouvelles générations ?

Feminism in Latin America and in the Caribbean (20th-21st centuries): identities and issues

La lutte pour l'émancipation des femmes est un processus lent qui s'est développé en vagues successives. Le féminisme latino-américain des années 1960 et 1970, marqué par des influences européennes et nord-américaines, est majoritairement composé de femmes des classes moyennes, parfois issues des mouvements révolutionnaires de la fin des années 1960 (Mouvement étudiant de 1968). Peu à peu les militantes féministes se rapprochent des mouvements populaires où les femmes sont engagées sur le plan politique, syndical, religieux. L'objectif de ce dossier est d'étudier les différentes modalités d'expression et manifestations du féminisme latino-américain ainsi que ses représentations (arts visuels, littérature, médias) dans ses particularités actuelles, en tâchant d'évaluer les résistances qui proviennent de la société civile et/ou des institutions (État, Église).
