Louis-Vincent Thomas's "Le cadavre, de la biologie à l’anthropologie", forty years later
En 2020, l’ouvrage de Louis-Vincent Thomas Le cadavre, de la biologie à l’anthropologie publié en 1980, aura 40 ans. Paradoxalement, alors que l’œuvre de l’anthropologue est très fréquemment mentionnée, le travail de l’auteur et cet ouvrage semblent encore mal connus. Nous proposons donc d’en discuter le propos et la postérité en demeurant fidèles à l’approche de son auteur, c’est-à-dire en mobilisant un large spectre d’approches disciplinaires, afin d’appréhender le cadavre en tant que fait social total.
