Female Voices, Media, and Modes of Communication in Theology and Philosophy
Women have long contributed to the development of theology and philosophy, yet their voices have often been marginalized, mediated through restrictive frameworks, or silenced altogether. This seminar approaches communication not only as a neutral means of expression, but also as a form of power: the choice of medium, style, and platform can grant authority, negotiate legitimacy, or challenge dominant structures.

Haunted Archives of Livingness
Visual Culture and the Politics of Care in the Age of Ecological Entanglement
Titled Haunted Archives of Livingness: Visual Culture and the Politics of Care in the Age of Ecological Entanglement, this year’s edition invites reflections on how contemporary artistic practices engage with ecological, political, and affective entanglements through archival thinking. In light of deepening environmental crises and social inequalities, the archive emerges not only as a site of memory and power but as a porous and generative terrain—an unstable corpus of living matter in constant metamorphosis. The conference aims to examine how artists, researchers, and cultural practitioners mobilize photography and visual media to activate archives that are haunted by histories of violence, yet reanimated through care, resistance, and speculative reimaginings.

Female Body or Women's Bodies? The Limits of the Body Metaphor in Jewish Culture
A Comparative Approach
The use of metaphor to approach women’s bodies in Jewish culture is a powerful rhetorical tool for conveying a specific construction of the female body within the social, literary, and medical spheres. These images define the boundaries within which this body is to be viewed, perceived, and experienced. By interrogating these boundaries from a gender studies perspective, this study day provides an opportunity to develop a comparative approach to metaphors of the female body as they are used to represent women’s bodies—from the Talmud to contemporary Hebrew literature, including the Midrash, legal texts, and medical discourse.

Contributions that cover masculinity performance and how masculinity is understood in varied European contexts are most welcome. We also invite papers that present a comparative approach to masculinity, investigating the similarities and differences between varying manifestations of Western (or European) masculinities.
