Education in Times of Crisis and Emergency

The term crisis, as defined by Souriau (1990), designates any dangerous and decisive disturbance which calls into question the ordinary course of things. On the other hand, the notion of emergence, formally defined, constitutes the idea of the appearance of a nascent phenomenon. This concept implies a pluralistic ontology, that is, a plural and evolving universe, in which new forms of existence appear, but may also disappear. The objective of this conference is to reflect on the way in which countries have faced educational challenges in times of environmental, health, migratory, gender, social and/or political crises at different moments in history.

    Nouvelles histoires

This series of lectures aims at exploring how the grand narratives of architectural history are challenged by current concerns raised by colonial and postcolonial studies, gender studies, and the environmental humanities. From the Enlightenment to the present, the speakers will examine discourses which have impacted the very form of architecture, analysing the racial considerations that underlie the theory of styles, or investigating the role French and German colonizations in Africa played in the emergence of modern architecture.

This scientific event aims to debate, through very diverse sources (political speeches, newspaper articles, shared videos of irregular migrants, cultural productions, legal texts, interviews, comments on social networks, novels, cartoons and images of documentary value), current migrations and experiences of otherness. Concevoir la ville de demain

The way we live in the 21st century and recent health events have changed the traditional organisation of public space in the city. The social and cultural dimension has been particularly affected. Population flows and their circulation, the organisation of individual and common spaces must be rethought in order to find harmony for everyone. Faced with new ecological, health, social and economic developments, we ask an essential question: What is the city of today made of? How can we build the city of tomorrow?

    InterArtes Review - number 2

If the first issue of the journal dealt with the permeability of borders - the very sign of topicality - as a condition that supports an aesthetics of the hybrid, the second issue of InterArtes intends to ask how this process of hybridisation of different genres, content, themes, styles and languages changes the nature and structure of the text, what the final product born from this interaction is and whether it can give rise to multiple levels of reading generated by the presence of different expressive means. In this second issue, InterArtes opens up the possibility of taking an ontological viewpoint or a pragmatic or analytical perspective, with the ultimate aim of exploring a field of investigation that continues to offer broadening perspectives.

Spirituality of the French Classical Period through the Prism of the 19th Century

  • Call for papers - Psyche

Issues in contemporary Psy⋅LGBTQIA+ research and clinics
