Call for papers - Urban studies
Special issue on Cinema, Architecture and Urban Space in the Balkans
The special issue is intended to discuss Balkan urban space and architecture through a cinematic perspective, and further explore elements linking urban studies with film studies. We are particularly interested in contributions discussing fiction films or documentaries focused on specific urban spaces of the Balkans, significant constructions, major cities or lesser-known towns and villages. We are also interested in itinerary films that map the peninsula through their passage from different built environments.

Les #Museumschallenges sur Instagram
Ce premier séminaire en ligne du projet DaMuCo (L’appropriation créative des images d’œuvres d’art numérisées issues des bases de données muséales en période de confinement et de fermeture des musées : diffusion de la culture visuelle, réceptions et usages sur les réseaux sociaux numériques) est porté par le Groupe de recherche sur les enjeux de la communication (Gresec, Université Grenoble Alpes) et une équipe transdisciplinaire (histoire de l’art, sociologie, communication, informatique). Les objectifs seront de décrire et analyser des copies créatives numériques, de comprendre les pratiques des challenges sur les réseaux sociaux, d’analyser les enjeux de la culture numérique.

Le conflit des interprétations : l’herméneutique au carrefour des savoirs
L’œuvre de Paul Ricœur a été le lieu privilégié de rencontres entre plusieurs courants et traditions de pensée, aussi bien philosophiques qu’issus d’autres champs disciplinaires. Sa pensée, dialogique par excellence, se construit à la faveur de l’entrecroisement de plusieurs perspectives révélant chacune différents aspects d’un même phénomène et dont la combinaison n’implique pas une synthèse totalisante, mais plutôt une construction continue assumant l’analyse par principe toujours inachevée. La journée d’étude, clôturant l’atelier des doctorants du Fonds Ricoeur 2021-2022, en reprendra le principe : reprendre le geste ricœurien du « conflit des interprétations » afin de mettre en évidence ses relations avec d’autres perspectives philosophiques ou d’autres champs disciplinaires, qui entretiennent avec elle un rapport de proximité ou au contraire de distance critique.

Groupes thématiques numériques - Direction du numérique pour l’Éducation (2022-2025)
Suite aux États généraux du numérique pour l’Éducation et dans le cadre de la transformation et adaptation de l'École aux nouveaux défis sanitaires, environnementaux, sociaux et économiques, la Direction du numérique pour l’Éducation (bureau TN2 chargé du soutien à l’innovation numérique et à la recherche appliquée) propose la création de nouveaux groupes thématiques numériques sur la période 2022-2025 à raison d’une allocation de 75 000 euros pour chaque projet sélectionné. En fonction de la qualité des dossiers reçus, quatre groupes pourront être organisés dès la rentrée 2022.

Euro-Mediterranean Entanglements in Medieval History
The German Historical Institutes of Paris and Rome are launching a second online seminar series on Euro-Mediterranean Entanglements in Medieval History in the academic year 2022/2023. The events will take place every two months. They are aimed at both young scholars and established scholars from all medieval disciplines. The aim is to create an international and interdisciplinary forum where diverse topics and methodological approaches can be presented and discussed.

89e congrès de l'Acfas
Le présent colloque, entièrement en ligne, a pour objectif d’engager une réflexion interdisciplinaire sur la production et la négociation du sens dans les pratiques de communication en matière d’alimentation. Organisées dans le cadre du 89e congrès de l’Acfas, (Université Laval, Canada), ces deux journées permettront aux participantes et participants de présenter leurs travaux sur la constitution médiatisée des identités alimentaires, la production de l’actualité culinaire et la valorisation des produits locaux. L’occasion sera aussi donnée de jeter un regard critique sur la promotion de la saine alimentation ainsi que sur les représentations du corps et des aliments dans les médias numériques.

Hybridity: Text, Translation, Teaching
In our globalized world, life in or with several languages has become a socially accepted fact and is continuously gaining momentum, ranging from simple code switching to such complex and systematic phenomena as diglossia, multilingualism and hybrid teaching formats. This year's symposium will discuss the topic of hybridity from a research and methodological perspective in an effort to raise interest and concern for its complexity and prospects in a research and teaching environment. The discussion of the many facets of multilingualism in its translatory and methodological dimensions will hopefully contribute to greater knowledge and acceptance of this global phenomenon in our everyday lives.

“Rhythm” in the Concepts of Audio and Visual Arts
This call is meant to establish communication and interaction between different cultures and to form a scientific community that includes researchers from the ocean to the Gulf, in addition to addressing common civilizational problems. This International Scientific Conference is dedicated to “Rhythm”. Rhythm regulates the durations of sounds in music, supporting its process and layers of its hierarchy to deliver an expressive discourse based on harmony and dissonance, on stillness and sound. Even in the freest melodies (Adlib), the rhythm does not disappear, but rather its presence takes a random, regular shape. Cinema does not differ in the interactions of the image and music, but also indulges in the manifestations of rhythm to imbue the viewer with sensory interactions that oscillate between tension and calm.

After their emergence in the nineteenth century, comic books quickly became an important vehicle for transnational exchanges. This issue of Mémoires du livre / Studies in Book Culture proposes a multi-disciplinary study of the cross-cultural transfer and circulation of comics. The notion of “transfer” is understood here in a broad sense, as a process in which objects, ideas and practices are transferred across two or several cultures.

Nature et paysages dans la bande dessinée polar
On a coutume d’étudier dans le polar, tant dans le film que dans le roman, l’espace urbain, afin d’en souligner ses caractéristiques, qu’il soit adjuvant ou opposant. Le roman noir, lui, accorde une importance considérable à la ville. Les nombreuses études sur la dialectique entre bande dessinée et espace interrogent l’espace urbain au sens architectural. Comme l’espace architectural - particulièrement urbain, a déjà fait l’objet d’études chez les bédéistes ainsi que chez les théoriciens, nous souhaitons engager une réflexion nouvelle, sur l’articulation entre la nature et ses paysages, et la bande dessinée polar. Cette nécessité s’impose dans la mesure où les études qui se sont intéressées à la nature dans tous états sont peu orientées sur le genre de la bande dessinée polar.

Education in Times of Crisis and Emergency
The term crisis, as defined by Souriau (1990), designates any dangerous and decisive disturbance which calls into question the ordinary course of things. On the other hand, the notion of emergence, formally defined, constitutes the idea of the appearance of a nascent phenomenon. This concept implies a pluralistic ontology, that is, a plural and evolving universe, in which new forms of existence appear, but may also disappear. The objective of this conference is to reflect on the way in which countries have faced educational challenges in times of environmental, health, migratory, gender, social and/or political crises at different moments in history.

Brazil Meeting of the Global Bergsonism Research Project
Based on the pioneering work of Bento Prado Júnior and Franklin Leopoldo e Silva, Bergsonian studies have developed significantly in Brazil over the last twenty years. This includes a thematic diversity that allows a rich dialogue with other scholars around the world. This Webseminar will be an occasion to discuss the potentialities of Bergon’s work, explored in an original way through the diversity of schools and academic backgrounds of all continents. We hope to encourage and foster discussions in a concrete practice of “ouverture” – mental, cultural and social – renewing questions and problematizations around three themes: spirit and life, Bergson and the history of philosophy, Bergson and contemporary philosophy.

Les enjeux de la polyvalence et de la spécialisation
Dans son cinquième numéro, la revue du RIRS s’arrête sur les frontières des disciplines d'un côté en tant que territoires souverains et de l'autre en tant que territoires mitoyens. En effet, si la pratique pluridisciplinaire d’autrefois était le reflet d’une curiosité travaillée en amalgame d’objets et de connaissances acquises et accumulées, elle ne permet certainement pas de combler les vides que l’on imagine entre les disciplines. Il en résulte donc la nécessité de porter un regard croisé sur le monde et de prendre en compte différentes démarches pour que la réalité puisse apparaître dans toute sa complexité et avec tous ses reliefs à la quête du sens par un « au-delà » des disciplines. Cet idéal est exprimé par l’émergence d’approches nouvelles, celles de l’interdisciplinarité et de la transdisciplinarité.
