  En 2018, le colloque scientifique du forum international pour le bien vivre avait traité de la définition collective du bien vivre, des méthodes et des usages des indicateurs de bien vivre, de la participation citoyenne et de la contribution de la recherche au bien vivre. En repartant de ces acquis, la seconde édition du colloque scientifique propose de faire un pas de plus dans la réflexion sur un changement de paradigme en faveur du bien vivre en mettant l’accent sur la prise en compte des interdépendances.

  Histoire comparée des « carabinieri », de la gendarmerie et des forces armées pour le maintien de l’ordre public

  Le thème principal doit être strictement lié à l’histoire de la gendarmerie, des carabinieri et des forces de police à statut militaire, idéalement à partir du XVIII^e siècle à nos jours à partir de sources primaires. Les principaux domaines d’intérêt sont les activités policières comme le contrôle des foules anti-émeutes, l’ordre public, les activités d’enquête, les patrouilles, etc., mais cela ne se limite pas à ces activités. Vous pourriez envisager d’axer votre article sur le rôle social du personnel, sur le développement des compétences, etc. L’appel à contribution est ouvert aux contributions sur les forces de police en temps de guerre à l’exception du rôle couvert en tant qu’unités combattantes.

  The Workshop “Recasting subjects and subjectivities in the writing of history: strategies, spaces and conflicts in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries” is organized by the PhD in Global History and Governance of the Scuola Superiore Meridionale. The event aims to offer a space of discussion for PhD students, researchers, and scholars who, in their investigations, focus on the centrality of subjects in creating spaces of action and mobilization inside the societal structures in which they moved, as well as in the global and local processes with which they interacted. Building on an understanding of history and historical processes as a continuously contested field, this Workshop will focus on how different subjects influenced and reshaped their own social, economic and legal conditions through individual or collective action.

  Depuis la fermeture, en mars 2020, des établissements scolaires et universitaires imposée par les gouvernements du monde entier pour endiguer la pandémie de la covid, l’utilisation des outils et plateformes numériques est devenue l’unique manière d’assurer la continuité de l’enseignement et des apprentissages. Ainsi une formation à distance d’urgence s’est-elle partout, brutalement et durablement, imposée aux enseignants, aux apprenants et à ceux qui, avec eux, mettent en œuvre des activités de soutien, de documentation, d’orientation, d’administration et de support logistique. Ce colloque interroge les enjeux et les perspectives de la formation à distance pendant et après l’épidémie de covid-19.

This time, the MU Language Centre is happy to co-organise the event with the Free University of Brussels and the University of Fribourg.The aim of this colloquium is to encourage reflection on plurilingual skills by adopting an interdisciplinary and practical approach. Language teachers working in higher education, as well as researchers from different cultural and geographical backgrounds, are invited to this conference to present and share their good practices, to explore and develop new perspectives and to stimulate an in-depth reflection on the issues at the heart of plurilingualism.

  Rethinking Liberal Europe

  Ideas of Europe and Notions of Freedom between 1848 and 1945

  The aim of this conference is to shed new light on the ways in which concepts of freedom and ideas of Europe have interreacted between 1848 and 1945. While recent research into the history of European ideas for this period has focused on anti-liberal thinking, we emphasise that in the era of nationalism the idea of a Europe founded on freedom played an important role in the political and cultural debates. In doing so, we also want to rethink the link between Europe and liberal democracy in general as well as analyse its political implications for current debates. Scholars interested in participating are invited to consider their research with regards to how ideas of and discourses about freedom, however understood, (re)shaped notions such as “Europe”, “European”, “European civilization” etc. within historical and philosophical works, novels, works of art, treatises, speeches, propaganda material, and so on.

  Au croisement de ces problématiques politiques, sociales, éducatives et linguistiques, soulevées par les formations aux langues-cultures en contextes migratoires et pandémique, nous invitons tout d’abord les communicants à s’interroger sur l’hypothèse suivant laquelle « la langue est la source principale de la connaissance de l’autre, hypothèse qui anime encore aujourd’hui la réflexion linguistique et didactique. Nous les invitons ensuite, en arrière-plan, à se pencher sur la notion de représentation, et à la traiter en termes de catégories, catégorisation, stéréotypes, stéréotypie…, afin de donner à nos échanges une assise linguistique, ou la lui préserver, dans le cadre de recherches-actions en didactique des langues-cultures.

  The Art Museum in the Digital Age

  The Belvedere Research Center is continuing its conference series on the digital transformation of art museums with its fourth event on the topic. During the COVID-19-lockdowns, the digital presence of museums was no longer merely one possible extension of exhibition spaces, but rather the only way to reach the public. While our conference in 2021 focused on the crisis-related (re)turn to one’s own collections, this time it shifts to questions beyond binary concepts, such as media specificity, hybridity, and mixed reality. In five thematic blocks, the lectures deal with how the digital and the analog can be productively, conceptually, and aesthetically interwoven in a museum setting.
