BD Maravilha. Redefinindo o Género nas Narrativas Gráficas Ibero-Americanas
Revista Lusófona de Estudos Culturais, Vol. 10, Nº 2
A banda desenhada e os romances gráficos — ou narrativas gráficas, como alguns preferem designá-los — são um meio cada vez mais bem-sucedido em todo o mundo, tanto na popularidade como no reconhecimento crítico. Nos últimos anos, desde o aparecimento e difusão do formato de romance gráfico com o que coincidiu o renascimento da popularidade da banda desenhada, as representações de questões relacionadas com o género e a visibilidade atribuída aos autores não hegemónicos de género aumentaram significativamente. Prova disso é o facto de inúmeras e proeminentes artistas femininas e queer experimentarem o romance gráfico e uma nova vaga de séries de banda desenhada feminista, simbolizada pelo trabalho editorial desenvolvido, entre outros, pela Image Comics.

Urban Images in African Contexts
In this special section, we seek to reimagine imagetic and urban practices and representations of the African continent, articulating two main fields, the visual and the urban. Here we want to reunite research that discouses discourses, imaginaries, representations, figurations, and politics about different African cities. Here we understand "images" in a broad sense, encompassing not only production and reproduction technologies, like photography and film but also virtual and digital, visual arts, and museum expositions. The purpose is not only to extend the debate over the field of the visual in different cities from an anthropological perspective. In this special section, we want to punctuate the implications of the imagens in a diversity of urban processes in the continent, emphasizing the plasticity of its forms and contents, its changes, its ambivalence, and opacity; beyond the debates about gender, agency, power, and resistance.

The Book in Its Time: Places, Materials, Forms and Techniques

The Book is a phenomenon that combines the fascination of its manifestations of yesteryear to the current debates and practices that announce future paths and dilemmas. We propose in this call an exercise that recovers the procedures and techniques that gained body to welcome another invention, that of writing, which inscribes the history of copyists, printing typographers who moved between cities and countries in search of business, that of their emergence in monasteries, courts, universities, binder workshops and typographies, that of street vendors and that of the production and marketing circuits.

The aim of this meeting is to restore the opportunity to share scientific perceptions, projects, and research recently developed, or currently under development; counteracting the drop in output motivated by the pandemic and the impact of war in Ukraine. Centred on a unifying, convergent, and urgent line, the main theme for this meeting – Circular Ciência em Património e Território – results from its two core themes, that promote interdisciplinary discussion, involvement, and interdependence between different scientific areas, through the emerging and vital vision of circularity.

Reconhecendo a pluralidade dos estudos museológicos, o VI Fórum Ibérico pretende contribuir para a discussão de projectos de investigação recentes ou em curso, em diversas geografias e contextos do panorama ibero-americano. Aceitam-se propostas com abordagens históricas dos museus e da museologia, assim como as que contribuam para um entendimento contemporâneo da relação dos museus com a sociedade. São bem-vindas apresentações que, tendo como objeto de estudo os museus, tragam novos pontos de vista, o cruzamento de olhares interdisciplinares e o diálogo entre investigadores em diferentes fases do seu percurso académico e profissional.

Entrelaçamentos & intersecções num mundo pós-humano (PÓS-HUM3NO)
Afigurando-se como um paradigma transdisciplinar cada vez mais difundido, o Pós-Humanismo Crítico tem florescido a partir do conjunto de desafios cruciais que hoje se colocam ao humanismo, à humanidade e ao humano. Cada vez mais, a perspetiva normativa de cariz antropocêntrico está a ser substituída por uma abordagem mais relacional, em que a relação sujeito-objeto é vista como emergindo de um processo coconstitutivo. Na medida em que esta mudança radical solicita modos alternativos para pensar a humanidade e seus ambientes, a presente conferência visa contextualizar as implicações culturais e filosóficas de tais desenvolvimentos, procurando testar a hipótese segundo a qual o descentramento do humano, patente no pós-humanismo, proporciona um paradigma renovado que nos fala instigantemente do presente imediato e dos futuros iminentes. O objetivo principal da conferência é refletir sobre cenários alternativos e emergentes em torno do humano, do não-humano e do pós-humano.

Pedro da Silveira – the faces of a cultural polyhedron
Commemoration conference on the centennial of Pedro Da Silveira's birth
On the centennial year of Pedro da Silveira (born in September, 5, 1922), the University of the Azores joins the celebration activities organised by several institutions in Portugal and abroad with the commemoration conference entitled Pedro da Silveira – the faces of a cultural polyhedron, which aims at reflecting on the many facets of this writer. Born on Flores Island, in the Azores, Pedro da Silveira spent a great part of his life in mainland Portugal, but never broke the attachment to his home archipelago. His work encompasses a variety of interests, including literary writing and literary criticism, historical research, philological edition, translation and anthology. It is the purpose of the conference to highlight all these fields and to encourage further inquiry on his work, still insufficiently explored.

Return to animality: theoretical perspectives, cultural approaches and artistic manifestations
In the context of ontological uncertainty, but also of the tragic collapse of biodiversity and the environment, in which preoccupations for the future of man and his relationship with other species increase, how shall one preserve a definition of human being? It is thus pressing to reflect on the future of humanity from new perspectives that might assume a return to a certain animality or even to a reanimalization of man. The aim of this colloquium is to create a plural and interdisciplinary space for reflection on these issues, calling for a dialogue between different perspectives and disciplines.

The aim is to measure current research trends in the disciplinary fields of art history, cultural heritage sciences and art markets, both nationally and internationally. Likewise, we wish to take the pulse of the potential of this kind of editorial approach.Proposals must engage with relevant topics related to the scientific scope of the journal, including a theoretical, methodological and historiographical reflection, and focus on any geographical or chronological context.

O próximo número da Artis - Revista de História da Arte e Ciências do Património, do Instituto de História da Arte da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa, será dedicado à importância da fotografia para a História da Arte. Sendo a arte, essencialmente, imagem, a expansão do processo fotográfico e a possibilidade desta poder circular rápida e livremente teve como consequência a divulgação e a globalização das obras de arte. As fotografias transformaram-se, assim, num poderosíssimo veículo de transmissão de imagens de obras de arte permitindo, através delas, a rápida difusão do conhecimento, da investigação, do estudo e, até, da comercialização tanto das obras de arte, como das próprias imagens.

Ce numéro de la revue eLyra cherche à interroger et à remettre en perspective le poème en prose et / ou l’œuvre en prose poétique à partir de recherches centrées sur la notion de voix, et cela sans limites prédéterminées en matière d’époque, langues ou traditions littéraires. Cette approche, basée sur la voix, prétend donner de l’espace à des études qui requestionneront le lieu commun du choc formel associé au poème en prose à la lumière de nouvelles compréhensions du problème d’expression que ce genre pose. Étant associé autant au narrateur qu’au sujet lyrique, ou dissocié des deux, le poème en prose rend possible des interrogations spécifiques, par le biais de sa structure narrative ou de sa dimension lyrique, sur qui ou quoi y a la parole.

Encontra-se aberta, entre 1 de janeiro e 31 de março de 2022, a chamada de trabalhos para o terceiro número da Anthropocenica. Revista de Estudos do Antropoceno e Ecocrítica. A Anthropocenica é uma revista académica de acesso livre, funcionando de acordo com o sistema de revisão por pares em anonimato. Cada trabalho submetido será enviado a dois revisores previamente convidados a avaliá-lo, de acordo com a qualidade académica, originalidade e relevância para os objetivos e âmbito da revista.

Urbanismo, política e pandemia na América Latina
Século XXI: Revista de Ciências Sociais
Desde março de 2020, o planeta se viu consternado pelo início de uma pandemia que tem afetado dramaticamente a todo o mundo. As respostas de muitos governos nacionais à pandemia foram lentas, vacilantes e mal coordenadas, e as políticas sanitárias e econômicas emergentes se dividiram entre o dilema de priorizar a saúde da população ou o funcionamento da economia, implementando medidas políticas de restrições à mobilidade, quarentenas ou outras formas de isolamento em cada país, estado ou cidade, ainda que a maior parte destas medidas o foram por pouco tempo. Apesar de que o fenômeno é global, seus efeitos e significados tem sido muito diferentes em cada cidade, mas é já difícil negar que tem produzido uma situação catastrófica na América Latina, uma região que se transformou no principal epicentro de contágios e mortes no mundo em 2020-2021, o que leva a nos indagar sobre os fatores que têm produzido impactos diversos em números de infecções, mortes, modos de sociabilidade e o modo como governos latino-americanos tem gerido a pandemia nas cidades da região.

It will be an opportunity to share knowledge and debate issues related to the relationship between human beings and nature and the global impact of human action on our planet, crossing different disciplinary points of view.

International Journeys of Lexiculturology
The International Journeys of Lexiculturology – promoted by the Linguistics Centre of New Lisbon University – constitute an annual scientific forum for the presentation, development, deepening, consolidation and expansion of research, training and teaching issues related to lexiculture – the culture implicit in the lexicon – from an intra, pluri, inter and/or transdisciplinary perspective. Works – in Portuguese, English, French and Spanish – that are explicitly inscribed in the general theme of JIL2021 – Lexiculturology – New perspectives and approaches to research, training and teaching – will be accepted.
