  The Multidisciplinary Grid 2020 Conference

  The conference is aimed at examining the ‘grid’ as a cross-disciplinary theme with a multiplicity of expressions in terms of definitions, concepts, perceptions, representations, and histories. The ‘grid’ has played a significant role in shaping the spatial imaginaries of a wide range of fields: from Hippodamus of Miletus to the Cartesian revolution in mathematics, from the visual arts to archaeology to 'smart cities' and artificial intelligence. As the 'grid' has become an all-encompassing term, signifying a vast array of infrastructural and communication networks through which contemporary life is mediated and controlled, it is commonly viewed as a quintessential symbol of modernity. The conference strives to explore a new horizon of relationships and fusion of the ‘grids’ in these areas as manifested between humans, between machines, and between humans and machines ‒ bridging philosophical, cultural, pedagogical, technical and ethical issues.

  Séjour de recherche postdoctoral en Israël et à Jérusalem - Atlas 2020

  La Fondation Maison des sciences de l’homme (FMSH) et le Centre  de  Recherche Français à Jérusalem proposent à des post doctorants résidant en France, une aide à la mobilité pour réaliser un séjour de recherche de 2/3 mois en Israël  et à Jérusalem. Cet appel s’inscrit dans le cadre du Programme Atlas de mobilité postdoctorale de courte durée lancé par la FMSH et ses partenaires.

  Le Centre de recherche français à Jérusalem lance un appel à candidatures pour des aides à la mobilité pour doctorants et post-doctorants (AMDP) dans les domaines suivants : Ÿarchéologie du Levant méridional (de la préhistoire à l’époque médiévale)  ; études des traditions historiques, religieuses et intellectuelles proche-orientales (sciences religieuses, philosophie, histoire, linguistique) ; Israël contemporain : sciences humaines et sociales (sciences politiques, histoire, anthropologie, sociologie, littérature, musique, théâtre, cinéma).
