Les sociétés littorales face aux risques : expériences, alliances, transformations
En prolongeant les perspectives ouvertes par l’étude sur les risques côtiers menée au sein du Living Lab GLAZ en 2025, la journée d’étude « Les sociétés littorales face aux risques : expériences, alliances, transformations » permet d’ouvrir un espace de rencontre et de discussion autour des enjeux des risques sur les littoraux. Elle vise à la fois à donner de la visibilité aux recherches collectives déjà structurées sur le territoire breton, et ainsi à clarifier le paysage de la recherche sur les risques côtiers à partir de perspectives en sciences sociales, mais également à promouvoir les rencontres et échanges interdisciplinaires.

Animal Behaviour and Environments: Ecological Perspectives from Antiquity to the Present
This conference aims, through a resolutely interdisciplinary approach, to explore the relations between animals and their environments. Bringing together scholars in ancient and medieval philology, the history of zoological knowledge, and contemporary ecological sciences, the event seeks to examine how living beings interact with their surroundings—and how these interactions have been conceptualised, described, and modelled from Antiquity to the present. Two main thematic axes will structure the discussion: 1. Animals and Environments: Ancient and Modern Ecologies; 2. Animal Ecological Awareness: Perception, Umwelt, and Narrative Models

Dans le cadre du projet européen Prima COSMOS, ce stage a pour objectif de situer le site pilote du Minervois au regard des configurations agroforestières existantes en France. Il s’agira d’analyser les formes actuelles d’intégration de la truffe dans ces systèmes, les configurations agroforestières où la truffe est peu ou pas mobilisée, et les freins (techniques, écologiques, économiques, sociaux, culturels) qui orientent les pratiques et les perspectives d’évolution.

Forêts liminales. Re-présenter la forêt à travers genres et médias
Le séminaire en ligne « Forêts liminales » prend la suite de la double journée d’étude « Forêt et liminalité. Poétique et politique de la forêt en littérature et à l’écran » qui s’est déroulée à l’université de Rennes 2 le 20 et le 21 novembre 2025, et prolonge les réflexions sur la liminalité inhérente à la forêt en mettant l’accent sur toutes les ramifications possibles dans les diverses représentations littéraires, cinématographiques ou télévisuelles d’un espace toujours ouvert à la reconceptualisation.

Domesticating Irish nature : past and contemporary approaches and practices
This international colloquium held in Grenoble, combining workshops, roundtables in addition to thematic panels, therefore also invites contributions that explore the representations at stake when the environmental history and prospective future of Ireland are involved. This exploration may be achieved through the intersecting lenses of ecocide, resource exploitation, and ecological resistance or use of nature as a place allowing for an escape from the usual modern globalized ultraliberal capitalistic rat race. We seek interdisciplinary interventions—historical, literary, legal, political, ecological, artistic—that investigate how nature in Ireland has been used, abused, and reclaimed in the face of economic pressures and environmental degradation.

Le canal du Midi : un réseau hydraulique, un réseau humain
Revue « Patrimoines du Sud » n°24
Le 7 décembre 1996, le Comité du patrimoine mondial inscrivait sur la liste du patrimoine mondial le canal du Midi, son système d’alimentation de la Montagne Noire et ses embranchements que sont le canal de Brienne, le canal de Jonction et de la Robine de Narbonne. D’un seul coup, cette œuvre linéaire de 360 kilomètres traversant les régions Languedoc-Roussillon et Midi-Pyrénées était élevée au rang des plus grands monuments du monde. En 2026, à l’occasion de cet anniversaire, sans vouloir établir un bilan de cette aventure en marche, il semble opportun de compiler divers témoignages d’acteurs, de chercheurs, d’usagers du canal, de riverains éclairés prêt à partager leur expérience ou le résultat de leur recherche.

Adopting a multidisciplinary approach, we aim to restore the diversity of her writing and highlight its place in the Italian literary landscape. Her work anticipated issues that we consider essential today, and she was a complex, protean and unique figure.

An ecological transition under strain: country, landscape, and uses in contemporary Germany
The starting point for this conference is the observation that the ecological transition in Germany, which one might have thought would be easier or at least more harmonious than in other countries due to the importance that environmental issues have had in German culture, society, and politics from very early on, is in fact encountering numerous obstacles and is even being called into question. This is evidenced, among other things, by the setbacks which the energy transition encounters and by the success of the party Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) despite—or perhaps because of—its stance in favour of climate change denial.

Il s’agit d’envisager, d’un point de vue d’ordre épistémocritique, comment Stendhal développe un savoir géographique original et peut-être inédit au sein d’une œuvre proprement littéraire. Plusieurs directions pourraient ainsi être privilégiées autour de l’idée d’un « Stendhal géographe » : Le contexte : Quelles sont les sources de l’innutrition et de la documentation stendhaliennes ? L’écriture : comment, par une logique du mixte, Stendhal s’inscrit-il dans ce contexte et développe des perspectives de constitution d’un savoir géographique au croisement de différents savoirs, de différentes pratiques ?

Autour du XIVe siècle, l’optimum climatique médiéval laisse la place au petit âge glaciaire européen. Les inondations et autres phénomènes climatiques se multiplient. En parallèle, le regard porté sur ces inondations semble engendrer de nouvelles représentations mentales et figurées de l’épisode biblique du Déluge, désormais perçu comme un désastre. Dans quelle mesure l’observation répétée de phénomènes météorologiques diluviens a-t-elle pu modifier la perception par l’homme de son environnement et impacter sa lecture du récit biblique du Déluge ? Ces deux journées ambitionnent de faire dialoguer l’histoire du climat et de l’environnement avec l’histoire des images.

European Summer Academy for Young Professionals
The German Federal Agency for Civic Education and the Genshagen Foundation are jointly organising the Summer Academy “Memories of Landscape. On Traces of Violence in Nature” for young professionals aged 25 to 35 from Croatia, France, Germany, Poland, Ukraine and the Western Balkan countries, which will take place from 2-5 September 2025 at Genshagen Castle (near Berlin). The Summer Academy addresses the question of how landscapes become memory spaces of human violence – and how we deal today with these silent, often overlooked archives.

The Exploitation of Subsurface Resources in Ancient Greece
The Greek term metallon may refer to either a mine or a quarry, whether used for the extraction of rock, ore, or salt. In this sense, it does not denote the nature of the resources themselves, but rather their shared origin: the subsurface. This common provenance opens the door to a cross-disciplinary reflection on the exploitation and management of such resources in ancient Greece. In recent decades, the study of the past has seen a growing interest in environmental questions. A key dimension of this research concerns the relationship between ancient societies and their environment: how did human groups interact with their surroundings to meet their needs, build infrastructure, or produce everyday objects? In this field, the rise of interdisciplinary approaches – at the intersection of archaeological sciences and historical inquiry – combined with recent methodological advances, has led to major developments in the field.

Nouvelles perspectives sur la représentation du monde naturel
Le colloque réunira des communications qui seront structurées tout particulièrement sur : le « sentiment » ou la « perception de la nature » de l’Antiquité à la Renaissance. Il conviendra alors de renouveler notre compréhension sur les relations entre l’homme et la nature à partir de l’examen des vestiges archéologiques, des textes, de l’iconographie. Il pourra s’agir à la fois d’examiner comment la nature était introduite, dès l’Antiquité, au sein des résidences privées (peintures, mosaïques, aménagements topographiques…) et publiques (palais, lieux de culte …) ou encore ce que peut signifier l’attrait pour le paysage, qui repose très souvent sur sa domination et son contrôle, pour la constitution de l’individu et des préoccupations écologiques.

Le concept émergent de « territoires intelligents et résilients » s'inscrit dans une démarche scientifique pluridisciplinaire, conjuguant les approches géographiques, anthropologiques, culturelles et technologiques. Durant ces quatre jours, les chercheurs ayant participé au projet présenterontune synthèse des travaux menés au sein des trois pays. Il s’agira aussi d’ouvrir denouvelles perspectives, d’envisager l’avenir et la manière de poursuivre des travaux communs, en invitant d’autres chercheurs à réfléchir aux côtés des équipesdu projet. Ce colloque s’articulera en différentes sessions de communications, de rencontres, de tables-rondes, de visites et de dégustations.
