The Art Museum in the Digital Age (2026)
This international online conference explores the complex interrelations between truth, fake and falsified information, and knowledge authority in the context of digital transformation processes. In light of increasing disinformation, AI-generated content, and algorithmic bias, museums face the challenge of rethinking their role as trusted spaces for knowledge dissemination. At the same time, digital technologies open up new possibilities for participation, contextualization, and translation. At the heart of the conference is the question of how museums can assume digital responsibility and actively contribute to fostering an open and reflective information culture.

Les « chemins d’eau » artificiels : gouvernance, usages et environnement des canaux d’hier à demain
Trente ans d’inscription du canal du Midi au Patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO
En 2026, le canal du Midi commémore ses trente ans d’inscription sur la liste du Patrimoine mondial de l’Unesco. En prenant comme point d’appui les 350 ans d’histoire du canal du Midi et la manière dont il s’est réinventé, cet anniversaire donne l’opportunité d’élargir les questionnements aux canaux - dans le sens de constructions ex-nihilo (et non d’aménagements de cours d’eau existants) – d’hier à aujourd’hui, et à l’échelle mondiale. En comparant les canaux, leurs similarités et leurs divergences, dans leur trajectoire passée ou à venir, ce colloque a pour finalité de dégager des enseignements permettant de contribuer à répondre aux défis de demain (environnementaux, sociaux, économiques).

Les changements des habitus culinaires au Cameroun
Culinary habits in Cameroon are now deeply influenced by globalization and urbanization, leading to a revision and sometimes a distortion of traditional recipes. The introduction of foreign products and the adoption of faster food practices have changed the habits of Cameroonians. These changes affect the transmission of culinary heritage to younger generations and jeopardize the preservation of traditional cuisine, considered a valuable intangible heritage. This call for papers explores the impact of globalization on food practices, public health, and the local economy. It also raises the question of how Cameroonian cuisine can adapt to modern realities, taking into account the tension between the modernization of recipes and the preservation of culinary cultural identity.

The history and structure of gardens hold endless surprises and fascinating connections with other disciplines. Originally created as a natural but immutable place offering protection and shelter, gardens have evolved from the hortus conclusus to a place of fantastic architecture, celebrations and wonder. Despite the aesthetic development that was added to the symbolic one of the medieval tradition, the garden never completely lost its medicinal and practical function, featuring areas dedicated to fruit trees, greenhouses reserved for exotic crops or plants whose medicinal or dyeing properties were well known.

Pour une approche critique des formations dans le domaine du patrimoine
Cet appel à contribution invite à prêter attention aux institutions et programmes qui, par la formation, concourent à l’élaboration des discours autorisés sur le patrimoine. Ces discours et points de vue s’expriment de diverses manières. Ils sont inscrits dans les législations et les politiques nationales et internationales, et sont promus ou mis en scène, entre autres, par les musées et les institutions de conservation des sites et des monuments. Ils sont également au cœur des processus de transmission des savoirs qui organisent la permanence ou la variation des manières légitimes de dire, de voir ou de faire le patrimoine. L’analyse critique de ces mécanismes doit donc passer par l’étude des institutions d’enseignement supérieur qui contribuent à former les futurs professionnels du patrimoine. Quelle(s) grammaire(s) du fait patrimonial y enseigne-t-on ? Comment et par qui y sont définies les modalités de son traitement – selon quel(s) horizon(s) d’attentes, pour quel(s) public(s) et dans quelle(s) finalité(s) ?

Ce colloque se propose d’explorer les interactions entre photographie et psychiatrie dans une approche pluridisciplinaire sur près de deux siècles. Que ce soit comme outil documentaire et journalistique, instrument de diagnostic, support pour la formation ou médium artistique, la photographie a trouvé de multiples usages en psychiatrie, soulevant au passage des questionnements tant éthiques qu’épistémologiques, qui seront au cœur du colloque.

Sociologie et anthropologie du corps et des techniques
Dans le cadre du projet Me3dAx, nous recrutons un·e chercheur·se post-doctorant·e chargé·e de conduire une recherche approfondie sur les dimensions socio-techniques de la captation et de la modélisation des gestes professionnels. Le projet vise à étudier le processus socio-technique par lequel sont produites les simulations 3D des gestes professionnels. Le/la candidat·e mènera des entretiens avec des artisans, en s’appuyant sur des dispositifs d’alloconfrontation mettant en dialogue les professionnels et les représentations numériques de leurs gestes (avatars). Le/la post-doctorant·e réalisera également une analyse détaillée des applications et des enjeux des technologies de captation dans le domaine de la robotique collaborative.

Elle fera intervenir des chercheurs et des conservateurs en prise avec ces questions, qu’ils soient usagers ou gestionnaires de ces collections.

Les institutions d’enseignement supérieur conservent de très nombreux objets ayant été utilisés dans le cadre des activités d’enseignement et de recherche qu’elles ont hébergées au cours de leur histoire. L’intérêt pour ce patrimoine ne cesse de croître ces dernières années et participe d’un mouvement plus large de patrimonialisation des collections et des bâtiments universitaires, qui semble lui aussi avoir connu une accélération au tournant du XXIe siècle. Le numéro 32 de La Revue de la BNU sera consacré au nouveau regard porté sur ces objets et à son inscription dans le cadre d’une histoire de l’enseignement et de la recherche.

The study of embroidered textiles presents several points of interest: research may focus on the embroidery itself (materials, techniques, patterns), its supporting medium (nature, composition of materials, type of weaving), as well as the relationships between these two fields. We aim to identify topics of discussion by juxtaposing ancient texts with materials analysis; to present examples of the conservation of embroidered textiles with an emphasis on the choice of technical protocols; and to consider the difficult problem of exhibiting these rare and precious textiles.

De la création au rayonnement de la phonétique expérimentale
Ce colloque a pour objectif de célébrer le centième anniversaire de la mort de l’abbé Rousselot (1846-1924), le fondateur de la phonétique expérimentale en France. Il nous apparaît en effet essentiel de célébrer cet anniversaire par l’organisation d’un colloque rendant hommage à cette grande figure de la phonétique, car les retombées de ses travaux sont considérables encore à l’heure actuelle. Le colloque sera l’occasion de présenter, à travers les communications de spécialistes du domaine spécialement invités pour l’occasion, les contributions de cet éminent personnage, ses rapports avec ses contemporains, les inventions techniques qu’il a réalisées dans le domaine de la phonétique expérimentale, puis d’évoquer ses successeurs et l’influence de ses travaux aux niveaux national et international, et dans d’autres disciplines jusqu’à aujourd’hui.

The challenges of historical and biomedical research in medical collections and biobanks
In the context of the Neverending infectious diseases project, we have been confronted with the challenges of using a historical medical collection for biomedical research. Historical collections have a rich potential for current and future research, but their use is far from straightforward. This is a relatively unexplored topic and as such, this workshop proposes to take concrete situations into account in order to consider the status of historical medical collections and consider them from medical, historical and social science perspectives.

Collecting, Growing, and Exploring in Early Modernity
This workshop aims to focus attention on the collections of naturalia, on the one hand, and on the attempts to grow exotic plants in Europe and the adventurous journeys that the search for tropical plants and animals they encouraged, on the other. The organizers of this workshop invite interdisciplinary contributions addressing the topic from the perspective of each discipline, from art history to material culture, from botany to gastronomy, from travel literature to cartography. Proposals that feature a female figure as protagonist are particularly encouraged, as the importance of the female contribution to this topic, although demonstrated, remains under-researched and under-published.
