Candidatures pour le projet RésoTissus dédié au patrimoine textile d'Afrique de l'Ouest et du Centre
RésoTissus est un réseau afro-européen dédié au patrimoine textile d’Afrique de l’Ouest et du Centre, créé dans le prolongement de l’exposition virtuelle « Costumes traditionnels au Cameroun : Vêtir son identité » (2021) réalisé par Dr Jean-Paul Lawson et Dr Avenir Meikengang. Il cherche à fédérer de jeunes chercheur·euses, conservateurs et membres de la société civile autour de quatre axes : réappropriation communautaire, reconnexion des savoir‑faire et des objets aux communautés d’origine, documentation (provenance, techniques, contextes d’usage) et valorisation (médiation, formation, open access).

Ils doivent ainsi assurer la conservation de cette documentation, sa gestion et sa mise à disposition pour les chercheurs. La gestion de cette documentation, multiforme par sa typologie et les supports utilisés, nécessite des compétences et des infrastructures spécifiques.

It emerges from techniques and poetics, from software and code, from manual and automated actions, but also from cultural and artistic objects—whether physical or not—born from production in the intersection of art, science, and technology. The theme of this edition reveals crossings between the analog and the digital without establishing hierarchies.

Rethinking Practices and Concepts of Material Culture in Syria and Beyond (18th - early 20th c.)
The conference Arts and Crafts in the Late Ottoman Empire aims to advance art historical and interdisciplinary research on practices and concepts of material culture in Ottoman lands between the 18th and the early 20th centuries. While inviting contributions on all geographies of the Empire, our call for papers foregrounds late Ottoman Syria as a case through which to expand the analytical and historical horizons of Islamic art and architecture studies and to contribute to broader debates in Ottoman and Arab historiographies of modernity. We encourage authors to consider the analytical frameworks—temporalities, epistemes, and materialities—that underpin the conference’s critical inquiry into the entangled modernities of Ottoman arts and crafts.

Le très grand développement d’internet a augmenté le nombre de ses utilisateurs dans le monde oriental et méditerranéen au cours de ces dernières années, et doit à nos yeux s’accompagner de recherches approfondies dans les domaines de la traduction, du patrimoine, des pratiques pédagogiques et scientifiques et des humanités numériques. Cela implique à la fois des recherches techniques en informatique et en sciences de l’information appliquées aux langues et aux cultures et à leur enseignement-apprentissage dans les pays arabes, mais également une réflexion analytique et critique sur le patrimoine méditerranéen et oriental, notamment arabe, ses textes et discours et leur appréciation par les récépteurs des différentes langues-cultures. Il s’agit là d’un domaine de recherche relativement nouveau en ce qui concerne les langues et les cultures, et d’un important défi à relever.

Cependant, l'omniprésence des algorithmes transforme radicalement la manière dont ces récits de crise sont créés, diffusés et reçus. En effet, les gestionnaires de mobilier, qui assurent la bonne conservation et la valorisation des vestiges mis au jour lors d’une opération archéologique, sont très souvent chargés également de la documentation associée. Ils doivent ainsi assurer la conservation de cette documentation, sa gestion et sa mise à disposition pour les chercheurs.
