  La revue en ligne de sciences humaines et sociales ethnographiques.org accueille des contributions d’étudiants ou de chercheurs en vue d’enrichir une réflexion théorique, méthodologique et réflexive sur les pratiques ethnographiques. Les travaux de disciplines proches (sociologie, histoire, géographie…) s’inscrivant dans ce projet sont également les bienvenus. Nous accordons en outre une place importante à l’utilisation de nouvelles techniques de restitution qui obligent à repenser le rendu du terrain ethnographique. Ce numéro sera consacré au thème « Revenir. Quêtes, enquêtes et retrouvailles ».

  Cet appel à contributions pour un numéro thématique de la Revue internationale du GREE (anciennement Dossiers du GREE) concerne l’éthique à l’école. Est-ce qu'elle s'enseigne ou se pratique ? Est-ce qu'elle s'apprend (par la réflexion critique, par exemple) ou s’impose-t-elle verticalement ? Est-ce qu’elle est esquivée par une vision technicienne de l'éducation ou est-elle affirmée en tant que visée de l’éducation ?   The colloquium "Cultural Journals in the World": Revolution, Subversion and Emancipation from the Late Eighteenth Century to the Present Day aims to present papers dedicated to this internationally critical space that at one time or another in its history has been connected to the artistic and intellectual European spheres or, conversely, has been marked by a transnational tendency, and to its genealogy. This colloquium is part of the project “Global art and cultural periodicals” dedicated to the cataloguing, the study, and the promotion of the non-European periodicals, from before the colonial empires until today. An open access periodical database created within the frame of this project will be presented at the Colloquium opening.

  Since 2011, the European Union is facing a dramatic migrant crisis, involved by the political and social turbulences occurred in the Middle East, Central Asia and the Corn of Africa. According to the UN Refugees Agency, over 1.5 million people were forced to leave their countries since 2014. The crisis reached a peak in 2015, with the civil war in Syria, the emergence of the Islamic State and the intervention of the Western coalition siding with the rebels to Bashar al-Assad's regime, which is supported by Russia.

  Le colloque international qui se tiendra à l'université Grenoble Alpes les 9 et 10 novembre 2017 se propose de réfléchir, dans une perspective interdisciplinaire, aux perceptions que les Italiens ont eues des autres peuples d’Europe et réciproquement à la façon dont ces derniers percevaient les Italiens (XIV^e-XVI^e siècle). Par quels canaux culturels passent ces perceptions ? De quoi sont-elles faites ? Comment les différentes formes d’échanges, parmi lesquelles les migrations des artistes, des écrivains et des voyageurs, ont-elles constitué les représentations des uns et des autres ?

  Women in the public space, 1800-1939

  Great Britain, Ireland, Empire and Commonwealth

  “The Angel in the House” is the image most commonly retained of British women in the nineteenth century. This reductive and repressive ideal, emerging from values propagated by the literary, religious, medical political discourses of the time, still persists today in the collective unconscious. Although this model has increasingly been questioned by researchers in the humanities, the focus has tended to be on the beginning of the 20th century. This one-day conference aims to pursue this still neglected area, bringing the Victorian and Edwardian woman further out of her “cloister” or “sphere”, and exploring the destinies of those women who occupied the public space in Great Britain, Ireland and, by extension, the Empire: activists, explorers, artists, writers and sportswomen to name but a few.

  The reception of Swiss art in the context of the eighteenth-century European Grand Tour

  In 2018, a special issue of the Zeitschrift für Schweizerische Archäologie und Kunst (ZAK) will be dedicated to Swiss art in the eighteenth century. Focusing on the context of European travel culture, the issue will address the various ways in which Grand Tourists perceived, purchased, and collected Swiss art objects during and after their travels. This perspective will help to gain new insight into the distribution and reception of Swiss art in eighteenth-century Europe.
