Digital democracy: promises and illusions
Internet neutrality, access to information, democracy formats
A stable and peaceful society is based on a solid and strong democracy. The democratic model is the future of any society that respects human rights.New information and communication technologies and the still poorly regulated advances in Artificial Intelligence have impacted not only all human activity, but have also contributed to reshaping the relationship with politics, citizen participation, political communication and politics, national and international. The purpose of this international conference is to question the phenomenon of electronic democracy not only from an instrumental point of view (e-voting tool), but to question the conditions of possibility and possible limits.

Dans ce séminaire, est observé l’atelier des artistes dans le temps long pour identifier les changements intervenus autour d’une organisation, d’abord indexée aux notions de bourgeoisie et d’urbanisme puis de nomadisme et de précarité. Avec l’instrument de la sociologie des organisations, l’atelier des artistes est questionné comme un espace social devenu structure productrice de « travail créateur » lequel est interrogé par le bras du concept de talent. Le binôme silence/solitude (Blanchot, Merleau-Ponty) est réfléchi quand il acte la création.

Rethinking Knowledge, Reshaping the University
17th Annual and International Colloquium of the Society of Activities and Research on the Indian World
University is one of the places (among others) of training, production and transmission of knowledge. If the goal of training is to participate in the process of social transformation, universities are one of the "unconditional" spaces (in the words of Derrida) to exchange with one's contemporaries. University remains a place where people mix, where people meet and where hospitality as a value still holds true to some extent. These attributes can also make it a place that can generate power struggles by holding up a mirror to society.This conference will address some issues regarding the future of higher studies in India, and in the Global South: How to continue to "produce" and share knowledge in the face of endless liberalization? What choices, what paths, what research projects can be on offer in the training programs at universities in the 21st century? How can we rethink knowledge and reshape the university? How can we reinvent the missions of academic transmission and research to meet the challenges of our time and anticipate those of the next generations?

Dans un esprit de partage et de convivialité, la journée d’étude entend documenter les pratiques et les problèmes relatifs à l’eau autour des activités extractives, donner la parole aux jeunes et surtout sensibiliser les dirigeants régionaux et l’opinion publique aux causes et aux conséquences sociales et économiques des industries extractives. Mais les problèmes sont complexes : comment les populations peuvent-elles s’outiller et s’organiser pour que ces prédations soient plus justement compensées ? À l’inverse, ces compensations, en légitimant de fait ces prédations, n’entretiennent-elles pas un système économique à l’origine des difficultés de vie des jeunes du territoire et du changement climatique qui affecte tous les habitants de la planète ?

Heritages values of 20th century architecture: what recognition?
Critical review and international forward-looking vision
The heritage values of 20th century architecture, whether they be cultural, social or technical, remain relatively complex to assess, and thus to share, due to lack of perspective and knowledge. The architectural and urban production of the second half of the 20th century was particularly prolific, sometimes remarkable, even exceptional. The energy, ecological transition, the changing habits and lifestyles are leading to the gradual transformation of this built heritage reaching to the end of its life cycle. Since the 1990-2000’s, a movement for heritage making has developed, which leads to many questions relating to possible and desirable developments of these architectural achievements. This issue of In Situ seeks to take a European or international critical perspective on the architecture of the 20th century and to highlight doctrines and positions adopted, practices and examples of schemes, policies or projects.

In recent decades, more and more violent conflicts have a religious or cultural dimension and take place between groups adhering to different religious or secular visions of the state and society. When groups with different worldviews are required to share the same (social, political, virtual, economic, or military) space, this can lead to tensions and give rise to violence—ranging from offensive language to physical attacks and open warfare.

Techno-Realities and Affective Creatures: the Love Simulation Devices
Modern-day embodiments of Baudelaire’s Artificial Paradises, the techno-realities are seen as a threat to human relationships in “real” life, in particular when they relate to love. Such human-shaped products however multiply: domotic spouse, tactile screen’s boyfriend, holographic companion, bride for Virtual Reality glasses, interactive downloadable partner, otomegames and bishōjogamescharacters… pending the development of Hololens friends. The explosion of these technologies (forecast to reach 181 billion euros in 2021 for VR only) generates anxiety and rejection. People engaged in Love Simulation Games have to face attacks: emotional relationships with non-existent beings are frowned upon. The tendency to get involved with a digital creature is being stigmatized, as opposed to founding a family (i.e. a reproductive unit). In spite of the stigma, a growing number of men and women, worldwide, are however using love devices: how can we explain that?

En privilégiant les approches interdisciplinaires, comparatives, prospectives, géo-économiques, stratégiques et socio-culturelles, il se veut l'occasion d'une réflexion scientifique sur la trajectoire, les ressorts et les potentialités, les atouts et les vulnérabilités de la RDC, considérée à la fois comme un pays en « émergence » et un champ privilégié des pays émergents.

Trouble in the field and ethnographic vigilance
Comme le faisait remarquer Didier Fassin, aujourd’hui l'expérience ethnographique ne va plus de soi, pas plus que l'écriture anthropologique. C’est ainsi que l’auteur plaide pour l'exercice de l’« inquiétude ethnographique » (2008) tout comme Bob White appelle à la « vigilance ethnographique » ; soit laisser le doute, l'incertitude faire irruption à chaque étape du processus de recherche et de production de connaissances anthropologiques. Chacune de ces étapes sont ainsi interrogées et soumises à la critique, depuis les situations intersubjectives d’enquête jusqu’à la production du texte, les procédés d'écriture et l'autorité même à parler de, ou à parler pour. Il s’agit donc pour l’anthropologue contemporain de porter un regard critique et réflexif sur toute sa pratique pour ainsi proposer un renouvellement épistémologique qui dépasse la simple observation du soi du chercheur ou des sujets singuliers de son enquête.

Comment penser l’anthropocène ?
Anthropologues, philosophes et sociologues face au changement climatique.
En décembre 2015, la 21ème Conférence des parties sur le climat, communément appelée COP21, se tiendra au Bourget, près de Paris. Cette conférence suscite autant de craintes, que d’espoirs : beaucoup considèrent qu’elle représente la dernière chance d’arriver à un accord contraignant sur la réduction des émissions de gaz à effet de serre, afin d’éviter une hausse trop importante des températures, qui aurait des effets catastrophiques.
C’est dans la perspective d’une mobilisation de tous les efforts autour d’une solution positive, que nous appelons à un colloque international, réunissant philosophes, anthropologues et sociologues, qui se tiendra à Paris, au Collège de France, le 5 et 6 novembre 2015.
