Chercher–Exposer–Trouver #2 est un colloque international consacré aux logiques de variation, de reprise et de réécriture des expositions dans les pratiques de recherche contemporaine. Après une première rencontre au musée d’archéologie de Nice / Cimiez en 2024 qui a permis de mettre en avant le caractère heuristique des expositions pour les chercheurs et chercheuses de divers horizons, la deuxième édition de Chercher-exposer-trouver vise à approfondir notre compréhension des effets de l’écriture expographique sur la recherche et ses objets.

The Art Museum in the Digital Age (2026)
This international online conference explores the complex interrelations between truth, fake and falsified information, and knowledge authority in the context of digital transformation processes. In light of increasing disinformation, AI-generated content, and algorithmic bias, museums face the challenge of rethinking their role as trusted spaces for knowledge dissemination. At the same time, digital technologies open up new possibilities for participation, contextualization, and translation. At the heart of the conference is the question of how museums can assume digital responsibility and actively contribute to fostering an open and reflective information culture.

Le décloisonnement dans les arts au prisme du genre
La première édition des rencontres de La Musée, organisées par les musées de Poitiers, l’université de Poitiers et l’association Femmes Artistes en Réseaux, se tiendra les 23 et 24 avril 2026 au musée Sainte-Croix. Ces rencontres annuelles visent à rassembler professionnel·les de musées et chercheur·euses autour des enjeux liés à l'étude et à la valorisation des artistes femmes. En écho à la pluridisciplinarité de cette artiste, cette première édition aura pour thème « Le décloisonnement dans les arts au prisme du genre ».

The term “figures”, in the geometrical and metaphorical sense of forms, singular historical and cultural configurations, calls for identifying, investigating and understanding the different definitions of naturalism that the history of art has produced, depending on their specific intellectual contexts.

The aim of Rotondes is to provide a space for young researchers, artists, critics, and other art professionals to meet and exchange ideas.

Le musée Fabre de Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole est un des lieux patrimoniaux emblématiques de la région et compte parmi les plus belles collections publiques françaises. Il conserve depuis 2017 un fonds « François Daulte » constitué du fonds d’archive de l’historien d’art, ainsi qu’un ensemble remarquable de lettres autographes de Frédéric Bazille et de son entourage. Afin de valoriser ce fonds, et plus largement les recherches de François Daulte, il a été décidé l’instauration d’une bourse annuelle d’un montant de 10 000 euros, qui soutiendra des recherches en histoire et en histoire de l’art dans la lignée des champs d’étude de François Daulte.

Journée jeunes chercheurs en histoire de l’architecture
Doctathlon et thèses récentes
Organisé par l'Association d’histoire de l’architecture, l’objectif de cet événement est de donner la parole aux jeunes chercheurs, afin qu’ils et elles reviennent sur les différents aspects caractérisant leur sujet de thèse puis d’engager une discussion entre les différents intervenants afin de croiser les regards et les approches. Pour se différencier du format traditionnel des journées d’étude et colloques, la matinée prend la forme d’un Doctathlon au cours duquel les participants abordent les questionnements inhérents aux projets de recherche en histoire de l’architecture. L’après-midi est consacrée à quelques thèses récentes soutenues dans la discipline.

Le numérique et la sauvegarde des pratiques artistiques
Depuis 1992, la loi française prévoit l’intégration de la production numérique au patrimoine culturel français. Pourtant, une grande partie de la communauté des acteur·ice·s culturel.le.s n’a pas connaissance de la notion de dépôt légal du numérique. Au cours de ces 30 années, les pratiques artistiques et créatives n’ont cessé d’évoluer et de s’adapter aux outils numériques développés par les géants du web et par la communauté Open Source. Malgré l’émergence de pratiques d’archivage variées (stockage en cloud, plateformes de streaming, etc.), la question de l’archivage des pratiques artistiques constitue un impensé, bien qu’elle concerne directement les différents milieux de la culture (production artistique, recherche, patrimonialisation).

À l’initiative de cinq doctorantes et à l’occasion de l’ouverture du nouveau master 2 « Biens sensibles, provenances et enjeux internationaux », le Centre de recherche de l’École du Louvre organise une journée d’étude sur le thème : Archéologie(s) et provenance(s) : état de l’art, recherches, et perspectives. Dédiée aux jeunes chercheurs de disciplines différentes en vue d’établir un dialogue entre historiens de l’art, archéologues, professionnels des musées et juristes, elle s’organisera sous forme de quatre ateliers durant lesquels les intervenants débattront et approfondiront les questions et notions que soulève le thème de la séance au regard de leurs projets de recherche.

At the of initiative five doctoral students, and to mark the opening of the new master 2 program “Biens sensibles, provenances et enjeux internationaux”, the Centre de recherches de l'École du Louvre is organizing a study day on the theme Archaeologies and provenances: developments, research, and perspectives. This event was created for young researchers from different disciplines with the aim of establishing a dialogue between art historians, archaeologists, museum professionals and legal professionals. The study day will be organized in the format of four workshops during which speakers debate and explore the questions and notions raised by the session's theme in greater depth and in relation to their own research projects.

Formation, continuité, rupture des références en histoire de l’art et archéologie » et questionnera la pertinence et la légitimité de la notion de canon à l’heure actuelle. L’objectif de Rotondes est de créer un espace d’échanges, de rencontres et de partage dédié aux jeunes chercheurs et chercheuses, mais aussi aux artistes, critiques et autres professionnels de l’art.

Archiving Fashion Conference: Mapping Fashion Collections
Following the “Archiving Fashion Workshop” held at The American University in Paris in June 2022, The Fashion Institute of Technology-State University of New York will host an international academic conference, “Archiving Fashion: Mapping Fashion Collections,” on November 11th, 2023 in New York City. This conference will gather scholars, researchers, archivists, librarians, faculty, students, and professionals for a one-day event (with optional second day of programming for speakers) to discuss the present and future of fashion and textiles, and related material, in archives. Papers considering the impact on access to archives and libraries during the Covid-19 pandemic and the various institutional responses to it, as well as other topics, are welcome.

The Art Museum in the Digital Age
The Belvedere Research Center is continuing its conference series on the digital transformation of art museums with its fifth event on the topic. While the 2022 conference challenged binary concepts such as analog/ digital, this year’s event critically examines the imagined cultural metaverse. In four thematic online sessions and an on-site workshop, the lectures deal with the immersive experiences of virtuality and reality, cultural heritage data, value discourse surrounding the metaverse and NFTs, and self-perception and the social role of museums.
