Desktop Films: Forms, Uses, Circulations
This conference stems from an interest in an emerging form of filmmaking, the desktop film or screen film, arising from the convergence of two related phenomena: the exponential acceleration in the circulation of moving images enabled by digitization and the development of Web 2.0, and the evolutions in audiovisual and media creation that incorporate digital aesthetics and practices into their modes of operation. Positioning ourselves within the field of post-media studies initiated by Lev Manovich in 2001, and more specifically within what is now referred to as the field of “post-cinema”, this conference seeks to foster a resolutely interdisciplinary reflection (Art Studies, Film and Audiovisual Studies, Information and Communication Sciences, Cognitive Sciences, Anthropology, Narratology, etc.) structured around the following axes: semiotic and multimodal approaches; narrative and discursive approaches; actors and Networks; archaeology of the Desktop Film.

RésoTissus est un réseau afro-européen dédié au patrimoine textile d’Afrique de l’Ouest et du Centre, créé dans le prolongement de l’exposition virtuelle « Costumes traditionnels au Cameroun : Vêtir son identité » (2021) réalisé par Dr Jean-Paul Lawson et Dr Avenir Meikengang. Il cherche à fédérer de jeunes chercheur·euses, conservateurs et membres de la société civile autour de quatre axes : réappropriation communautaire, reconnexion des savoir‑faire et des objets aux communautés d’origine, documentation (provenance, techniques, contextes d’usage) et valorisation (médiation, formation, open access).

SAVOIRS est une plateforme numérique en accès ouvert consacrée à l’histoire et à l’anthropologie des savoirs, portée par l’École des hautes études en sciences sociales. La plateforme rassemble un corpus éditorialisé de textes de sciences humaines et sociales, inter-connectés et offerts à de multiples navigations grâce à des outils de suggestion. Pour accompagner la mise en ligne de la nouvelle version de la plateforme, l'équipe SAVOIRS organise une journée d'études pour situer son projet dans le cadre plus vaste des humanités numériques et des outils au service de l’édition, de la lecture et de la recherche en sciences humaines et sociales.

La troisième édition de la Semaine internationale de la recherche création (SIRC) s’inscrit dans la continuité d’une dynamique qui articule expérimentation artistique, recherche académique et ouverture sociétale. Notre objectif est double : Mettre en partage des méthodologies de recherche création en croisant arts, sciences et technologies, dans une perspective située et transdisciplinaire. Cette journée d’étude propose de questionner ces reconfigurations méthodologiques en partant d’un angle spécifique : celui de l’ethnographie des pratiques artistiques et culturelles en ligne. Comment ethnographier un collectif d’artistes dont les interactions se déroulent majoritairement sur les réseaux sociaux ? Que signifie « faire terrain » au sein d’un musée dont la stratégie numérique dépasse les murs physiques ? Quelles postures adopter pour saisir les formes de créativité vernaculaire ou amateur en ligne ? Comment observer les situations pédagogiques mobilisant le numérique dans le cadre artistique et culturel ? Et comment renouveler la réflexivité ethnographique face à des terrains instables, hybrides, technologiques et algorithmisés ?

Color in Circulation: Transfers, Transformations, Translations
This conference aims to explore what happens to color when objects, images, and what used to be called style circulate across space and time, across cultures, traditions, and diverse conceptions of color and its symbolism, but also across media. The event serves as a celebratory conclusion to the research project Visual Contagions (Swiss National Fund for research, 2021–2025), conducted at the University of Geneva and focused on the global circulation of images, in collaboration with the Artl@s project.

Arts et environnement dans la Grande Caraïbe
Comment les pratiques artistiques dans la Grande Caraïbe décrivent-elles, reflètent-elles et réimагinent-elles les crises environnementales contemporaines ? Cet appel à contributions pour un numéro spécial d’Études Caribéennes explore l’intersection entre arts et environnement face aux défis écologiques majeurs de la région caribéenne : élévation du niveau de la mer, prolifération des sargasses, intensification des ouragans, et pollution. Ce numéro sollicite des approches transdisciplinaires s'inspirant des arts et humanités, des sciences environnementales, de l’écocritique et de la pensée décoloniale (cette liste n'est pas exhaustive). Les contributions examineront comment artistes, communautés et institutions culturelles participent à l'émergence de nouvelles collaborations science-société, utilisant l’art comme outil de sensibilisation et d’action environnementale dans l’archipel caribéen.

Ce colloque international interroge les articulations entre recherche-création et numérique, à travers une diversité de pratiques artistiques, méthodologiques et réflexives. Chercheurs, artistes et praticiens exploreront comment les technologies – en particulier l’intelligence artificielle – reconfigurent les processus de création, les dispositifs immersifs, les pratiques patrimoniales et les formes d’engagement politique. L’événement mettra en lumière les mutations induites par le numérique dans la production de savoirs, en croisant les regards des sciences humaines, des arts et des technologies. À travers conférences, panels thématiques et exposition, il s’agira de penser la création non seulement comme une fin artistique, mais aussi comme un vecteur de recherche interdisciplinaire.

Approches croisées des sciences sociales et des arts
Du terrain à la production des savoirs
Ce colloque international s’inscrit dans la continuité des journées d’étude organisées en 2022 à la BNF Corps en cérémonie : pratique et poétique de recherche et 2023 à la MSH de Clermont-Ferrand Méthodes, expériences et pratiques audiovisuelles à l’épreuve du terrain autour des pratiques performatives et des méthodologies de recherche en SHS, à l’intersection des arts du spectacle, de la sociologie et de l’anthropologie. Il vise à réunir chercheurs, chercheuses et artistes qui travaillent sur et dans des contextes marginaux, non conventionnels et peu explorés par le médium audio-visuel ou performatif. Le projet vise à questionner la pluralité des formes de représentation et de restitution du terrain (textes, images, sons, vidéos) dans les recherches en SHS, tout en valorisant les perspectives issues de la recherche-création et des travaux en cours.

This multidisciplinary conference examines how the deconstruction of the dualisms that have dominated in Western thought since the 17th century takes shape in Canadian studies. Building on the Canadian landscape and scholarship on its nordicity, we hypothesize a move from polarity to circumpolarity in Canadian studies conducted in Europe. This multidisciplinary conference welcomes proposals from all fields of research, in the hope of bringing together complementary perspectives on the (circum)polarities in Canadian studies.

Sociologie et anthropologie du corps et des techniques
Dans le cadre du projet Me3dAx, nous recrutons un·e chercheur·se post-doctorant·e chargé·e de conduire une recherche approfondie sur les dimensions socio-techniques de la captation et de la modélisation des gestes professionnels. Le projet vise à étudier le processus socio-technique par lequel sont produites les simulations 3D des gestes professionnels. Le/la candidat·e mènera des entretiens avec des artisans, en s’appuyant sur des dispositifs d’alloconfrontation mettant en dialogue les professionnels et les représentations numériques de leurs gestes (avatars). Le/la post-doctorant·e réalisera également une analyse détaillée des applications et des enjeux des technologies de captation dans le domaine de la robotique collaborative.

Global Series: TV and the Political Imagination
This collective volume seeks to explore the vast potential of TV series and their role in shaping our moral and political perspectives on the world. Global Series: TV and the Political Imagination is part of the ERC Demoseries project, hosted by Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, and responds to Sandra Laugier’s call for taking TV series seriously as “a new form of education…[that is] both political and moral” (Laugier 2022). TV series have the capacity to reflect complex social and political realities and can serve as shared representations of moral reasoning and values, prompting viewers to engage in ethical reflection and philosophical inquiry. By examining a diverse range of TV series from across the globe, the volume aims to highlight their power to act as common reference points in shaping public discourse and conversation.
